Mike Johnson prior to being named Speaker spent time trying to get 2020 election results overturned in a few closely contested states. He’s super religious, extremely conservative. Politically speaking he would like nothing more than to see Biden get bounced. When he got the Speaker job he began receiving intelligence briefings. Mike Pompeo started advising him on foreign affairs. Hard line conservatives from House national security panels advised him on Ukraine war. When he allowed this bill to come to a vote he said paraphrasing that we are at a critical juncture in Western democracy based on what he had heard since taking the gig. This is very convincing to me as to why this is a good idea.

Helping Ukraine against Russian invasion helps us out, helps out our allies.

Now giving aide to Ukraine and supporting things here aren’t exclusive. It’s possible to do both. I actually agree with Mike Johnson and Lindsey Graham on something - supporting Ukraine in this war is in our best interests. You don’t agree that we should give them any aide is fine. It doesn’t mean people that do hate America, don’t want to help Americans, etc.

You don’t want to acknowledge the fact that Republicans support this aide to Ukraine. It’s really odd.

I have explained quite a few times why I think it is a good idea to support Ukraine as long as they want to continue. It is telling to me that these people who don’t agree on anything, who get access to info we don’t, agree on this subject as well. If there is a bill or something about medical debt you are referring to I’d take a look.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions. When you find yourself on the same side of an issue as MTG it’s a good time for self reflection and reevaluation.

I didn’t vote for a pedo. This Ukrainian bill passed overwhelmingly. Like half of Republicans voted for it. The Speaker of the Republican controlled House said it was vital to our national interests. The people opposed to this were primarily the extremists types like your Boeberts and the like.
