The place I lived in had a set up of community pools scattered around. There were a handful of kids the same ages and we would spend all summer riding bikes, playing basketball, focking around, sneaking booze from liquor cabinets as we got older, playing cards, a made up games of baseball you could play with a few people, tennis, etc. Was the best. Pools were the main spot as it was hot as hell. No cable til maybe high school and only got maybe 4 channels so you did other stuff. A great time to be a kid.
