I have done hundreds of road trips with gas car, about prolly 30 in an EV. For the most part I prefer gas car for this. A drive I know the route well and a good spot to stop when I’m not in a rush is probably the only way I’d prefer the EV experience.

That would be limiting factors for buying an EV. The way chargers work at my job is first come first serve. Once filled you start getting pestered to move your car by text. These are faster chargers so typically cars are good to go after a couple hours. People are good about moving. I usually fill up but could go a few days without or not at all if plugging in at home. Try to do it at work though since it’s free.

30 is cold I believe - below freezing and all. Kind of in the name. If I lived where it was typically under say 20 degrees for long periods of time I would definitely do my research before owning a current EV. I think it’s doable but definitely limiting.

I would say the bolded giant type is def true.

In the case of an EV for typical day driving you would plug it in at home or at work when you aren’t using it so you don’t stop to “fill up” anywhere.

Do you typically fill your car after driving 5 miles?

These cars do work when it’s cold. It’s been below 32 for a few days now in my town and I have driven all over town. How is it possible?!?

5 mile commute would need probably about 1 hour 15 mins on a 110 outlet. YMMV depending on factors - like cold weather, terrain you drove, how fast you went.

This would suck hard. Poor planning on these people’s part, like running out of gas / not knowing how the tech works in extreme cold.

Any Dem that would win in national election would be a moderate - it is what got Biden the nomination and what allowed him to beat Trump. Trump lost to Biden last time and that was before he went all stolen election nut job Biden is the guy and there was never going to be a challenger so this is all just academic. Team red tie had 3 years to drum up a new guy. They pushed their chips in on DeSantis and he busted out.
