Crazy for him to toss Kimmel’s name into this but he fancies himself aggrieved and enlightened and doesn’t have to give a shet about any fallout. I am curious if Rodgers cares he is making his friend sweat any and if he will ramp this up. I’d think he back off now that him and Jimmy both popped off.

I agree. He’s got a lot more sections where he is just giving opinions rather than doing bits. I am not even sure if I have watched all these Netflix ones he’s done but have enjoyed the ones I watched for the most part, just not as hilarious as the early stuff IMO. A tough job. He’s getting generational money with each one so he doesn’t give a fock both of which I think show in these specials.

This is an actor thing - method. It does seem odd but is not unusual. To your point that he was going from Ace Ventura to trying to do a serous role seems difficult. You should try acting and get back to us how it works.

Not sure why there are three different Chapelle threads bumped but big fan of his. Last few Netflix specials have been less funny but he still has some good lines. Hard to be the same type of funny guy forever. Not going to rush to watch his new stiff but will get around to it at some point.
