Speculation is that one of them started by fireworks leftover from New Year’s. -

More wind = more fires. We had hurricane force winds blowing. I think they reported we had gusts up to 100mph. I’m not entirely sure, but I don’t think we’ve ever had a situation like this before. We have had more than one fire break out within the same time frame before, but not 6. -

TK!!!!!!!! So sorry to hear about your family in the Palisades. We’ve had 3 friends who lost everything as well. my heart is absolutely broken for them. So far only 1 of them is being attributed to arson. And no, they didn’t all start at the same time. -

We had a short evacuation placed on us last night, but are still home. The winds are blowing west and we are east of the current fire in our area. Unless something changes, I think we’re going to be ok. From what I’ve gathered, yes, this fire might have been arson. They have a suspect in custody. -

I’m out. Not doing this now. People are suffering and you ghouls want to point fingers and argue about it. I’m not going to participate while it’s raining ash outside. -

Thank you, Bunny and to all who added while I was posting this. While I am extremely grateful that we are safe, I’m absolutely gutted by the amount of destruction these fires have inflicted. And to see people here arguing political points right now is infuriating. To quote the most famous insane person in the world: “Take a step back and go yourself in the face." -

*I’m reposting this from the Sanctuary* I meant to post this yesterday, so no one would worry. I was taking a break because I overused the hand I had surgery on and needed to give it a rest to bring down the swelling. I also ended up needing a course of steroids as well. And then, as you know, all hell broke loose. We are currently not in the path of any of the fires, but with the Santa Ana winds, that could change at any moment. When we went to bed last night, Studio City was on fire and that puts one on the other end of the valley where we live. I haven’t turned on the news yet, and frankly I’m a little scared to. To say this is an unprecedented fire event would be an understatement. We are currently surrounded by fires. It feels like the whole city is burning-it’s not, but it feels like Armageddon out there. We’ve had several friends loose their houses. 2 in Altadena and one in the Pacific Palisades. We currently have another in the Hollywood Hills, whose house is possibly under threat. Several others have had to evacuate. My heart is absolutely broken for them and I’m emotionally exhausted. We are thankful to be safe and will try to keep you guys updated if anything changes. Hopefully today is a better day, but the winds are expected to pick back up. Thank you all for your concern. -
You don’t think a global trend means anything? You’re too cute.

Riding in the back of the pickup truck going 55 down gravel roads. Hooking up an old tractor tire inner tube to the back of the truck and taking rides in the snow. Letting me drive in the driveway at 12. -
That this is your takeaway says it all.

If you say so. I myself was not offended or weirded out by it. I read it as him calling an a-hole an a-hole. Me being involved had little to do with it.

For the record, Jerry, he doesn’t sound unhinged. You can do better than that.

Ok, I am going to address this for the last and final time. For realz, I hope. Yes, I was obnoxious leading up to the election. Yes, I thought Kamala would win, but also I was being over the top on purpose. I had planned to be here on election night, but our friends (a couple we spend a lot of time with) called us late Tuesday afternoon and asked if we wanted to order dinner and come over to watch the results. I do not post on my phone when out with people. It’s rude and I don’t do it. The Geek Club is not more important than my friends. I was hungover as hell on Wednesday. Could I have checked in? Sure, but I didn’t feel up to it, so get over it. Already admitted that was a pvssy move. I had surgery first thing Thursday morning. My hand was put in a splint that came halfway up to my elbow and only allowed the very tips of my fingers to peek out. It didn’t come off until last Thursday night. I don’t think any of this would have changed if Kamala had won. I know for a fact I still wouldn’t have posted on election night. Maybe I would have on Wednesday, but I doubt it. I don’t tend to spend time online when I don’t feel well. I guess we’ll never know. Sorry if any of you feel cheated out of gloating. Now get over it. -

Why you always assuming stuff, Strike? Maybe I lost it in an unfortunate masturbating incident with a chainsaw. -
