27 years since I started working in IT. After 20+ years of an over hour commute (each way) Sure, I did work from home 60% of the time the past 4 years. Have my 1st ever job where I can go home for lunch, and work from home if needed. Take the pup for a walk, eat, take a sh1t and back to work. Drop the boy off at school and pick him up.

36.2 (no joke just looked it up) miles of driving. but 90+ minutes if I drove. Not to mention the cost. Now I literally have a 6 min commute

Drive 20 minutes to train. Potentially wait 5 to 20 minutes for late train. 35 minute train ride. 15 to 30 minute subway ride, then 10 minute walk
