The field for the Wells Fargo Championship is expected to be approximately 70-80 players with eligibility categories including: Top 50 from the previous season’s FedExCup standings, Top 10 available and not otherwise exempt from current FedExCup standings, Top five available and not otherwise exempt FedExCup points earners from the previous signature event (RBC Heritage), if not exempt from these categories current-year tournament winners and PGA TOUR members in the top 30 of the Official World Golf Ranking, and four sponsor exemptions who are PGA TOUR members. There will be no cut. So, fans can expect to see players compete at Quail Hollow Club for all four days. The winner will receive 700 FedExCup points and the total purse will be $20 million for all eight events.
