I can't believe I'm saying this, but is McGahee worth a pickup?
Redzonehog replied to joeunleaded's topic in FFToday Board
I had pretty much 100% decided on skipping waivers and stashing Brown or Ball tomorrow morning, but this throws a kink in my plan....what to do?? -
Yeah bc calling someone "dooshy" isn't confrontational. Hey BTW you little, fairy, didn't I tell you to fock off? You're actually dead wrong, I'm all for some good solid debate, but when you try to play tough guy and start slinging insults my way, I'm more than happy to put you in your place (show me one time where I've ever been the one to start a flamewar on this board. You can't huh?) You on the other hand? You're exposed, fairyboy. I did a search on your posts and saw that ALL you do is go to the "geek page" or whatever it's called (fitting name for your interests) seeking out confrontation. LMAO....nice try calling me out. Seriously, I'm done replying to your koksucking azz. What a sad, pathetic, little nerd. How many times a day do you get you get your face busted, you homo? Obviously a lot, considering you feel the need to come here for confidence and talk sh!t over a keyboard. Peace, polesmoker.

You're exactly right about when we should see him as the starter. I completely agree...and like I said, they drafted him in the 2nd round to groom him. Not just "to have another RB on the roster" like dipsh!t said above. However, once he gets used to the NFL and the game slows down for him, he will be much more effective. And not one person knows when that will be. Meaning, I'm willing to take a chance and stash him. If it pays off, I'll be glad I did. If it doesn't, I'll drop him if I have to. Meanwhile, I'll let McCoy, Calvin Cobb carry my team while the rest of these inbreds "laugh their way to the bank" with the second coming himself, Mr. Knoshow Moreno.
-
You should spend a LOT more time reading before you post, moron. Scroll up and see where I said "I wish I had Moreno on my team, but he's not available". Clearly I think he has fantasy value, but he is NOT who the Broncos have in mind for their starter....obviously they are playing him right now because they have no choice. Ball has 2 NFL games under his belt. TWO. Give the friggin ROOKIE more than 2 games before you pass judgement. Knoshow has had quite a while and has failed MANY times. The fans in Denver hate him. I have family members there who are 30+ year season ticket holders, so that's how I know...and quite frankly, your opinion doesn't matter anyway...let that sink through your thick skull for a minute, you stupid piece of sh!t.

McGahee may be 30 something, but I'd take him over those 2 scrubs.

What I've been telling a lot of fools on this board for the past few days. There's a whole lot of losers here who feel better about themselves by ridiculing complete strangers over a keyboard....sad.
-
I'm not "dismissing" anything. And I'm not the only one who can CLEARLY see that Ball is the most talented RB in that backfield. You guys have a hard-on for Moreno because he's the flavor of the week...I get that. But think about this....if Denver thought Knoshow was their guy, do you honest believe they still would have taken Ball in the 2nd round? Think about it.

Is Pierce really worth burning my high waiver on?
Redzonehog replied to Redzonehog's topic in A Little Help!
Actually I have a worthless handcuff to drop...Lance Dunbar. Either way though, I think I may be better off just picking up a FA with some upside instead of burning my waiver on someone with some upside. -
My next two games are against the two weakest teams in the league, so I am looking for a more longterm RB3/RB4 to add to my roster. I've never been interested in burning a waiver on someone who may only be startable for 1-2 weeks, unless I REALLY need a win and am struggling....so the prospect of Pierce producing this week only means nothing to me. My question: will Pierce be productive for the majority of the season or just a week or two?
-
Depends on how bad your opponent this is week is. If you'll win without production from that RB spot, take Wilson for sure. That's a classic buy low. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=423662&do=findComment&comment=5093770

Team 1 no brainer. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=423662&do=findComment&comment=5093770

Tough one. Smith has looked decent of late and Philly's secondary is terrible. I prefer Romo, but neither would be a stupid decision. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=423662&do=findComment&comment=5093770

Pick up Jason Snelling and drop Leonard Hankerson OR Kenny Stills?
Redzonehog replied to smashleybs's topic in A Little Help!
Snelling could be serviceable. It's a tossup, but if you do it I'd drop Hankerson. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=423662&do=findComment&comment=5093770 -
It's risky, because you lose some decent RB depth, but to get Brandon Marshall there's no way you turn that trade down. Do it. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=423662&do=findComment&comment=5093770
-
I'm not too high on either one of them..too many targets in Denver. But the trade couldn't hurt since Amendola will likely have surgery. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=423662&do=findComment&comment=5093770
-
I would not normally be interested in Bell because he plays on a terrible team, but Hartline for a RB1? I'd say yeah. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=423662&do=findComment&comment=5093770

Ball blocked pretty well against the Giants, actually.

My point on the waiver usage only applied to saving your priority for a quality move, so yes it is true that move limitations wouldn't matter. I, for one, am always hoping to find that perfect Flex player midseason, because in a 12 man league you aren't always going to draft one. I also like to find guys to stash for depth just in case. To each his own, and I definitely enjoy making a lot of moves (even 20 is a ton), but at some point you have to wonder why no one you pick up is ever panning out. I like to think that most of the "speculative" bench guys I pick up are on a pretty equal playing field. I just don't get why holding somebody for a week does you any good. Again, to each his own though.
-
A lot of it is about patience, though. If you are using your waiver every week (which you'd have to in order to use up 25-30 moves), you'll never be able to get the guy who suddenly emerges and everyone is after, because you'll have the 12th waiver. Make some moves and stick with them. If they don't pan out, you should be high on the waiver priority just in time to switch them with some top waiver targets. Most of the time, if you are making moves just to be making them, you are only being counterproductive. It's quality over quantity.
-
I'm bullish on Tate as well. That dude looks way better than Foster, and he will be a hot commodity come playoff time IMO. I like McFadden's ok production of late, but I'd say your upside is with Tate and Wilson.
-
Ok, yeah I gotcha. We actually do waiver priority the same way (as do most I believe). As long as you don't have unlimited dibs on anyone at anytime I'd be fine with that. Our league has a 30 move limit, though, and I doubt I'll ever use that up. I tend to hold guys more than a week or two, so I just wouldn't have the need for anymore moves than that. But yeah I see your point though.
-
Ohhhhhh zing!!!! You got me there! Lol I actually read your last sentences first so I can laugh at your new failed attempt to be witty. You're just another lame little geekass who has to post negative comments on threads to get sh!t started because you know damn well you never would in real life. And BTW - I don't mean week 10 with Moreno and his injury...more like week 5, dipsh!t. Fock off, I don't have time for you. Go bug somebody else, you can't even hold a conversation. EDIT : Oh and one more thing just so you can know how irrelevant your argument actually is. Are you blind or did you forget the previous post when I said I'd like to have Moreno if he was available? You aren't teaching me anything, moron. I've forgotten more about football than you'll ever know. My point was that Denvee expects Ball to be the guy....not Moreno.
-
No, actually I don't own Ball, dumbazz. Have fun with Moreno when he's in the IR in a few weeks, you little fairy.
-
Careful....Serpent and Poohbear get upset if you ask questions that don't help them in any way. Ask permission before you ask these questions. But yeah, I would start any defense you think will do well against your team. If your team loses the real game you still won the fake one lol.

Thought his 4 TD game last week was a fluke. But with 3 TD's and over 400 yards this week, I'm done sleeping on him.
