It’s not surprising that farmers are abandoning Trump. They never should have supported him in the first place. They weren’t paying attention. Kamala talked about these tariffs; she explained EXACTLY what would happen. People didn’t listen. Now it’s too late.

I continue to believe based on everything I read that the tariffs in place now will starting almost immediately, bring inflation way up and drive the economy off a cliff. This is true despite our current numbers (which reflect the 1st quarter before most of the tariffs took effect) and will be true even if Trump completely reverses himself (or accomplishes “trade deals” which will essentially be the same thing, I hope for either.) I would very much like to be wrong about this. If I am right there won’t be any gloating. I personally stand to lose a LOT of money and I think the entire nation will suffer. So I’m really hoping that you and the other MAGA folks are correct and it all turns out for the best.

The suicide rate among those who have already transitioned is directly related to their acceptance, or lack of it, by their peers. Transitioning is only part of the cure; the other part is society accepting these folks and treating them with decency and respect. As this thread demonstrates, we’ve got a real problem with that second part. But nonetheless if they don’t transition, and simply stay the wrong sex and hidden, they’re even worse off, and impossible to “cure”.
