So apparently Trump called Bezos to express his displeasure and Amazon has backed down, they’re not going to do it. I guess Trump thinks that people buying stuff on Amazon simply won’t realize the reason for higher prices…if it isn’t pointed out to them, they’ll never make the connection.

I hope he doesn’t. It’s a catastrophe for the rest of us too.

A lot of people criticized Bezos when he announced a new direction for the Washington Post editorial board a few months back, remember? They accused him of caving to Trump. But what nobody mentioned was that when he did that Bezos stated “we will stand firmly for free trade”. This has always been his position. He hates tariffs.
