This crap again. 1. I want violent criminals punished and if they are undocumented deported. 2. I want undocumented people who aren’t violent criminals left alone. 3. This isn’t going to change, no matter what happens to me personally (hopefully nothing does.)

His main promise, the one that is most important to the American people, is to bring prices down. Instead he has undertaken 3 policies that will almost immediately bring prices up: 1. The new tariffs. 2. Attempts to deport nonviolent undocumented workers. 3. Pulling out of WHO and limiting CDC resources at a time when the avian flu is having a direct effect on egg prices.

Trump is not to blame for rising egg prices. BUT he’s starting to take actions which won’t help but will move us in the opposite direction.

Lindsay Graham on Meet the Press this morning is asking for 100 billion dollars to help Homan deport the million or so undocumented immigrants whom he identifies as violent criminals (though I think he is way over exaggerating that number.) Otherwise he warned it would never happen- ICE doesn’t have the resources. He was then asked, what about the roughly 10 million other people that Trump and Homan have also promised to deport? Graham basically admitted that would never take place regardless. lololol- @Horseman you’ve been duped again. Will you ever realize what a sucker you are?

You follow me around from thread to thread, you respond to everything I write. Who exactly is the loser here? At least I don’t cheer on fires, root for bigotry and violence, or draw Confederate flags. Last I checked anyhow.

I vote for liberals for many reasons. Competence isn’t one of them. I don’t think Karen Bass is competent so I would never vote for her. But I don’t think Donald Trump is competent either. You and many others here keep trying to make the connection between competence and liberalism, as if the ideology itself results in incompetent behavior. I don’t find this point to be compelling at all, particularly given the fact that we currently have a President who is not only incredibly incompetent, but who keeps appointing incompetent people to high positions (like Hegseth and Gabbard.) However I do not attribute this incompetence to Trump’s ideology.

I have no idea if the poll is correct or not. I know what I think about Trump, and I know what I think about his immigration policies. If that currently puts me in the minority, so be it.

Actually it’s your reaction that is intolerant. There ARE authoritarian aspects to what Trump is doing. That doesn’t mean he’s Hitler or that we’re headed for a dictatorship. It means exactly what I wrote: authoritarian aspects. They’re troubling and it’s not wrong to point them out. But how do you guys respond to this criticism? Not by rebutting it but by wrapping yourself in an “us vs them” scenario: guys like yourself and @Voltaire act like our side is evil and you need to be at war against us, which in some ways is even more troubling an attitude than what Trump is doing.

Uncalled for. In general, I think you are right about these issues and @Voltaire is wrong. But you’re not evil scum and he is American. Both of you are behaving badly here IMO. You guys have a difference of opinion on a number of key issues, that’s all. I think you both desire what you think is best for the country.

No. Nobody wants this. But there may be ways to prevent it right now and Trump is doing the opposite with the immediate changes he is making to the CDC and pulling out of the WHO, etc. If and when a pandemic hits it will be too late. Refusing to prepare beforehand is suicidal idiocy.

Trump WILL have to deal with this if the price of eggs continues to go through the roof. He won’t be able to ignore it.

If this happens it will make it easier for immigrants to catch and eat them.

The only objection I have to this post is when you wrote: “I’m sure that’s acceptable where she is from.” You don’t know that and frankly I doubt it. Rude behavior is pretty much rude behavior everywhere. You encountered a rude person, not a representative of any culture. Most people in ALL cultures are courteous.

No I don’t think you’re a racist. I believe in American culture too- meaning free enterprise, individual freedom, the principles enshrined in our Constitution and Declaration of Independence, etc. I want people of all races and cultures to come here and accept those principles. If they don’t then they shouldn’t be here. I think we can agree on that.
