At least 10% on ALL imports, double that for most. This is completely unprecedented; it’s never been tried. One way or another he’s upending our entire economy.

He’s making a lot of promises about a “new golden age for America”, when our manufacturing will return. We will see. Reciprocal “tit for tat” tariffs- except that it will also go towards vaguely defined “unfair trading practices” 25% on all foreign autos starting Midnight Thursday. I imagine a lot of dealerships are freaking out right now…

Here are the facts: https://www.brennancenter.org/issues/ensure-every-american-can-vote/vote-suppression/myth-voter-fraud Yes technically it’s happened; but it was extremely rare and the actions you’re referring to had no effect whatsoever except to suppress legitimate voting.

I am, for two reasons: 1. There’s no evidence of voter fraud in this country. It’s not an issue, never been. So this is unnecessary. 2. It depresses voting from poorer people and minorities. Which is, I believe, the whole point.

You’ve asked this many times. It’s true. It doesn’t have anything whatsoever to do with intellectual ability. If you think there is a connection between this fact and intellectual ability, then you are a bigot and an idiot. HTH.

Happened exactly as I wrote. Two heavily red districts, one of which Trump won by 30 points last year, and the GOP barely squeaks out victories. Watch out for next year; if you’re a conservative it won’t be pretty.

Petronas will win. It’s still too early for the public to properly react to Trump’s disastrous moves. Too bad. It’s coming though.

He and the Republicans are really lucky that the tariffs haven’t taken effect yet; that’s the ONLY reason Fine was barely able to hang on in Florida. If Trump does what he says for real next year will be a disaster for the GOP (the problem is by then it will be too late; we will ALL suffer the consequences of these horrible decisions.)

I love how I’ve been mentioned 3 times already in this thread, as if I haven’t made my views clear on this subject already. @Voltaire here is your main problem: as the tarrifs and DOGE cuts create, respectively, economic misery and government dysfunction, nobody is going to care about this issue. It may be a vote getter when the economy is going well, I will concede that. When the economy isn’t going well neither this nor any other “woke” issue will be on anyone’s minds at all.

He’s fighting the good fight. The main point, which nobody here seems willing to acknowledge, is that everything he is saying is not only right but also agreed to by the majority of the public: Trump has been an absolute disaster so far. He is causing needless pain across the country with DOGE and the tariffs. People are tired of it. They’re sick of the bullsh!t. Nobody voted for this; they voted for Trump to bring down inflation and that’s not happening. So good for Corey for fighting back; we need more like him.

All right. If you guys ever want to engage in a serious discussion of this topic “Trump’s tariffs” I’m your Huckleberry. But I’m not gonna waste time on @Strike’s bullsh!t. Let’s see how this plays out. It won’t be good.
