But that has nothing to do with his disability; it’s about Abbott’s sending refugees to other states as a publicity stunt, which cost Texas millions of dollars and was just stupid and mean-spirited.

She was speaking metaphorically. She means that Democrats have to beat a guy like Cruz by being tough with him. It’s no different from a few years back when Sarah Palin posted a picture of Gabby Giffords on a gun target. After Giffords was shot a lot of people ripped Palin. I defended her because I understood that she wasn’t calling for violence. Neither is Crocket. I think Jasmine Crockett is terrific, and she has never called for violence.

I could have it at some point with reasonable people such as yourself, but this forum has too many bigots in it who believe that people with black skin have inherently lower intelligence. I know you’re not one of them and that’s enough. Yes black Americans do perform lower on IQ tests. We can disagree on the reasons why. It’s racist to believe that it’s inherent. I’m not even sure I would call them willfully ignorant. I think many of them made a Faustian bargain: they wanted a better economy and the border under control, and were willing to take the rest of it (or at least didn’t take it seriously.)

I can’t speak for others. Personally I don’t see any correlation. Some of the brightest people I know in my life voted for Trump this time around. I don’t think they’re stupid or unaware, just very wrong.

Performing lower on tests is certainly a confirmable fact. Having lower IQ is NOT a confirmable fact and I would dispute it rather strongly. I also believe it’s a racist suggestion. Based on your post however, I think you’re simply misusing the phrase “IQ” (at least I hope so.) I don’t give others in this thread that excuse.

I absolutely believe that most of these guys are gang members and deserve to be sent away. What bothers me is that a few of them might not be gang members and were not allowed due process to prove they aren’t. If they are not gang members then the crime of entering this country without proper documents should not be punished by sending someone to a maximum security prison in El Salvador. Maybe you and many other people here are OK with this. I’m not. And hopefully the American public won’t be either (we’ll see.)
