Well gee I dunno HT. We used to give a crap when little countries were invaded by big ones. We used to care about atrocities committed by evil players around the world. We didn’t always get involved directly but we did condemn the bad guys when we could and helped out when we could. We were the greatest nation in human history. I use past tense here. We were the leaders of the free world. That meant something. The Marshall Plan, the Berlin Airlift. Now that’s all been abandoned. In a few weeks. And I gotta tell ya it makes me ashamed. Honestly. I think we’re spitting on the graves of men who died at Normandy and Iwo Jima. And at the memory of my great uncle who survived the Bataan Death March. I don’t think he survived for this. I have a new motto for the Democrats and ALL opponents of Donald Trump: Make America Great Again.

BTW I like how you mention “Trump/Putin” as one word- that’s actually pretty apt and I may adopt that so thanks.

Theres clearly a big difference between us. Which is: I don’t care how much you post about trannies. Because they represent .1% of our population I’m amused at how obsessed you are with them and openly question if you and other conservatives are secretly envious of them- otherwise why would you care so much? They really have. But they’re not going to wake up, because the roots of what they really want is elsewhere. It was stated pretty clearly in the other threads on this topic. They would rather be allies with Russia than the rest of Europe. They like Putin because Putin is a Christian, and white, and a nationalist. These are the isolationists, the American firsters. In 1940 their intellectual forefathers rooted for Hitler and against England. Now they are rooting for Putin and against Ukraine, and for the same reasons.

We were going on over a week without a thread devoted to this topic. I could tell some of you were getting antsy. I think Sirius should offer a new channel called “24 hour Tranny Talk”. A lot of you would no doubt immediately subscribe.

The problem with this is that when Trump says he’s respected it would be hard for any sane person not to burst out laughing. When are you going to realize that Donald Trump is the least respected President in U.S. history? Nobody around the world take him seriously, because he makes such ridiculous comments, tells constant lies, and changes his mind constantly. They take the US seriously, but not Trump. He is the cause of the disrespect: he disrespects the office of the President by being the President.

New CNN poll: 52% of Americans back Ukraine and believe we should continue to support them. This number will likely only grow larger as Trump continues to make a fool of himself and betray this nation’s honor and commitments of the last 80 years.

It’s quite shocking that you seem to think that the people of Ukraine don’t support Zelensky. I would guess that his approval ratings are at the moment similar to George W. Bush in the days immediately following 9/11.

Bill Maher really trashing Trump on Fareed Zakeria’s show this morning- over Ukraine, tariffs, all the rest. “We’re still in the honeymoon phase and she’s already left the bedroom crying”. He says, correctly IMO, Americans don’t want the crazy.

The difference between Trump and Putin is that Trump keeps raising the stakes and then HE’S the one that folds. Every time.

Yeah except we haven’t stopped sending money to Ukraine, and I suspect we won’t.

Trump says he wants to see peace get done; let’s see if he means it. Russia has to pull its forces back behind the Crimea. Ukraine agrees to cede the Crimea to Russia. There can be a vote for the folks in the Donbas whether they want to be part of Ukraine or Russia. The USA commits, along with Europe and Russia to rebuilding Ukraine. Ukraine holds elections. We sign the rare earth minerals deal (our presence there will be a form of security; Trump is right about that.) Finally , in exchange for no more countries joining NATO, Russia signs a treaty agreeing to respect the sovereignty of all existing nations in Europe, and a new trade deal with Europe and the USA with no tariffs. Thats my peace idea. I think it’s doable. Certainly it should be a lot easier to do this deal than any Palestinian-Israeli agreement.

When the minerals deal was announced (4 days ago) we were told it was a big win for Trump. Now that the minerals deals has been canceled we are told it’s a big win for Trump. Both times we are told that Trump is a master negotiator. Seems inconsistent. But then, I’m not a member of the fan club.

I read em all the time. It’s actually the golden age of graphic novels currently. It’s not the superhero stuff of our youths. It’s really good stuff to be honest.
