AOC has certainly become more impressive in recent months. I listened to her in Denver today and she was extremely well spoken in her opposition to Trump. I like her very much as a person would support her against any MAGA Republican for sure if those were my choices. Alas she is, however, simply too leftist for my tastes. Unless she changes her views (or unless I misunderstand them and I don’t think I do) I could never support her in a Democratic primary.

The disgusting part of what @Cdub100 wrote are not the facts he presented (which are true enough) but the conclusions he draws. He blames diversity for this problem meaning that he believes that poor grades are inherent in blacks and Hispanics. In other words racism. He doesn’t consider other factors; perhaps he is incapable of doing so. Blacks and Hispanics perform poorly due to economic and cultural reasons, not due to racial ones.

I do know that. (The Dine part.) But as I recall the Navajo weren’t especially warlike the way the Comanche were or the Sioux. But I’m going off memory- it’s been a while since I read any books on this subject (though I plan soon on reading Empire of the Summer Moon about the Comanche- it comes highly recommended.)

However, your question as to why this sort of thing is being celebrated is easily answered: many of these people have a very different motivation than yours, which I have tried to tell you all along and which you angrily took umbrage with. Quite simply, the celebration is rooted in racism and white supremacy.

@RLLD your facts are just wrong on this. The public does NOT approve of Trump, and most of the public do NOT want Democrats cooperating with Trump especially on the economy. That is why Democrat numbers are so low, because Schumer appears to have caved. Personally I approved of what Schumer did but the public does not.
