I never bought into the Hunter Biden stuff so I can buy into the idea that this was done by the FAA without any connection to DOGE and perhaps Starlink is simply cheaper or more efficient or whatever. Thats reasonable and I can accept it. Truth be told I don’t usually buy into corruption stories. (I do think that Jared Kushner-Saudi was major corruption however). I can’t speak for you seafoam1. Somehow, despite the fact that you share the political views of most of the folks here you manage to get voted the most annoying poster on a consistent basis. Trump said today that Zelensky is coming on Friday to sign an agreement to give up most of their rare earth minerals for the USA. But he also said that we would not guarantee Ukraine’s security and that as far as Ukraine joining NATO they could “forget about it.” Logically, why would Zelensky agree to this? Is he hoping that maybe just the presence of American workers on the ground in Ukraine would itself become a security guarantee? Maybe that’s it, and maybe that’s enough. But if I were him I sure as hell wouldn’t give away my country’s most valuable resources without more of a promise than that.

Unfortunately this is not the only incident. Musk said today he’s received several death threats. In addition there was talk of ICE agents being doxxed. This crap needs to stop. Unacceptable no matter who does it.

The ones I read weren’t homophobic. She was making fun of a conservative politician who was obviously secretly gay, but voting for anti-gay legislation (Charlie Crist). Many LGBTQ activists have done this in the past. I don’t like it. Not homophobic though.

I’m sure what you witnessed was real. It was also anecdotal. Statistically the facts tell us otherwise: DEI is NOT bringing about incompetence in the corporate workplace nor has it helped much with diversity- Fortune 500s remain largely lily white and male dominated. Nor are white people being discriminated against in statistical numbers. Anyone can come up with anecdotes and shout “unfair!” I myself am opposed to DEI for this reason. But while people are NOT being discriminated against in our society and they’re NOT victims of racism.
