Well first off I didn’t end up voting for Obama either time. But to answer your question in general, between the two parties, the Democrats’ policy on this issue is less awful to me. Particularly since the advent of Trump. In my lifetime, the best President on the issue of immigration was Ronald Reagan.

Yes I think that immigration makes us a more secure and prosperous country. More than that it defines us. Yes that is absolutely what I believe.

If they commit terror I agree. If they’re stupid enough to support others who commit terror with their speech, then no. We have free speech in this country. You get the right to be offensive. The same right that protects bigots and white supremacists also protects these idiots. I AM weary of them though. I wish they’d shut up and go away. But I will always defend their right to be a$$holes so long as it’s only speech.

It sounds like he became radicalized here in the USA. If so, the argument about “letting these people in” doesn’t seem relevant in this instance.

I don’t believe this. I don’t think you can provide proof of this.

Also- those of us who defend innocent Muslims (and there are many) must face the reality that Islam has more terrorists, and more radicals and extremists, than all the other world’s major religions combined. This is a sad truth and I have my own theories as to why it is so, but trying to obscure or hide this does nobody any good.

And now a serious thought: I have never understood how anyone can try to justify terrorism. No matter how just you consider your cause, deliberately murdering innocent people for the sole purpose of spreading fear is simply madness and evil. And from a practical standpoint, it doesn’t work (it never achieves whatever political goal it seeks.)

ISIS is an evil organization. Anyone who belongs to it deserves to die. How’s that for shade?
