I was watching Josh Shapiro this morning on Meet the Press. I had forgotten that his house was firebombed. Shapiro, the speaker from Minnesota, Gabby Giffords, Paul Pelosi- if you are one of those who ignore these attacks in your claim that political violence is mostly from the left (as President Trump and his most vocal supporters do) and ESPECIALLY if you’re one of those who has mocked Paul Pelosi’s attack (as several people here, and Trump himself, have disgustingly done) then sorry you have NO credibility on this topic and should be ignored.

He does. And it’s disgusting that @Voltaire and others refer to him as a “good guy” for this. Disagreeing with Omer is one thing, but a blatant bigoted comment is awful. There are so many things to regret about the Trump era, but one of the worst aspects is this willingness among so many people to accept garbage hate and incivility as acceptable behavior. It happened before Trump, and it has come from both sides, but no single person has worked harder to make it commonplace.

No it’s not interesting at all. It’s idiotic that you and others think we can fix this problem by punishing our own consumers. We can’t; we only make it worse. The only way to fix the issue you’re talking about is to raise consumer levels abroad, so that folks in China, India and all the rest have close to the same purchasing power that Americans do. And the only way to do that is to have unilateral free trade no matter what other nations do. If you read Milton Friedman you would know this (but then he was another non-practicing Jew.)

A big part of the problem. What does “we think” mean? Who thinks? Who makes that decision? What if we get it wrong? Is your response “oh well?” I don’t want government killing people based on “we think”. As an aside: you’re using the word “murder” incorrectly. A murder is a wrongful killing by definition. Your position is that these are justified killings therefore you should write “we should kill”.

Well for one thing they both regard transgenders as normal people who aren’t mentally ill. Unlike most of the morons here. For another, both have very strict gun laws (though Laguna Beach is limited in this regard by the Federal government refusing to enforce common sense gun restrictions.) Both places are woke and filled with good people. (Also as an aside: both places have some of the most beautiful women on the planet.)
