No it’s illuminating. Let them go on. There are legitimate objections to DEI. There are many conservatives who are not racist who have a real problem with diversity programs. But there are also borderline racists who object to them, and there are out and out racists who object to them. At times it’s difficult to tell the difference between the non-racists, borderline racists, and full on racists around here. It’s nice that in this thread they’ve decided to clarify it for us.

You brought it up in this thread after Trump raised the DEI issue. You’re the one bringing up race. And I can’t tell if he’s qualified or not based on a heavily edited video. Per his experience he certainly is.

As usual you’re complaining about this but you’re only attacking those you disagree with, because you reek of hypocrisy. This should not be a political issue. Trump made it so. His supporters here have chosen to repeat his bullcrap. I’m responding to them because that’s where the discussion has gone. I didn’t take it there.

He appears to have plenty of experience as an executive at several airports (see his resume.) He had absolutely nothing to do with ATC so even bringing him up in this thread makes no sense- unless because he’s black and you’re attempting to make a (racist) point about competence?

Your first complaint should be with the President for bringing up DEI. Then you should be upset with @Horseman and others for suggesting that race played a role here.

The disdain for her here is not surprising but it is interesting nonetheless. She almost singlehandledly saved this country’s economy in 2008. By almost any measure she was the most effective Speaker of the House in American history and her accomplishments are numerous and impressive.

I first read about this this morning, and what I read is that they hired disabled people for positions that did not involve traffic control. I don’t have a problem with that, do you? I read nothing about hiring mentally unstable people. So no what you wrote is not factual. But what you wrote was also asserted by JD Vance this morning and it appears he is lying.

Come up with some evidence that they’re not and then I will pay attention. I’ve never read nor seen nor heard any evidence whatsoever that ATC hires unqualified people because of diversity efforts, or even that ATC uses diversity as a requirement in hiring. Where is the proof? And where is the proof that accidents are caused by this? And where is the proof that this accident was caused by this?

Yep, as tasteless as @squistion’s post was last night, it doesn’t even begin to compare to Trump’s tastelessness and idiocy here. Squis is, after all, only a poster on an obscure website, like the rest of us. Trump is the President of the United States, and as usual he behaves like an unruly 4th grader. Plus he has to be the most divisive politician in our history. He never has any solution other than to blame others.
