The disdain for her here is not surprising but it is interesting nonetheless. She almost singlehandledly saved this country’s economy in 2008. By almost any measure she was the most effective Speaker of the House in American history and her accomplishments are numerous and impressive.

It was Yahoo News and I trust their reporting. I know some of you don’t trust any MSM source; I can’t solve that problem for you. I do not trust Donald Trump or JD Vance to tell the truth and if they don’t offer backup and their narrative is refuted by the MSM, I tend to always believe the MSM.

People accuse you of trolling and Ive defended you. This post makes me wonder…unless you seriously believe this which in some ways is worse. It’s shameful of Trump to blame Biden. It’s almost as shameful for you to blame Trump (almost because you’re not the President or a public figure.) When a tragedy occurs it’s extremely unwise to lay blame unless you can find a deliberate decision that directly caused it to happen. Lacking that you lose all credibility.

I first read about this this morning, and what I read is that they hired disabled people for positions that did not involve traffic control. I don’t have a problem with that, do you? I read nothing about hiring mentally unstable people. So no what you wrote is not factual. But what you wrote was also asserted by JD Vance this morning and it appears he is lying.

Come up with some evidence that they’re not and then I will pay attention. I’ve never read nor seen nor heard any evidence whatsoever that ATC hires unqualified people because of diversity efforts, or even that ATC uses diversity as a requirement in hiring. Where is the proof? And where is the proof that accidents are caused by this? And where is the proof that this accident was caused by this?

Yep, as tasteless as @squistion’s post was last night, it doesn’t even begin to compare to Trump’s tastelessness and idiocy here. Glad you brought this up. Beyond being stupid and costly, it’s more evidence that this whole thing is for show. Trump is promising to deport 11 million people and you idiots actually believe him. How is a detention camp with 30,000 beds going to make the slightest difference? And when the place is full then what? You gonna fly them out of there in military planes again? If the plan is to return them to the country of origin, why send them to Cuba in the first place? So nonsensical.

I realize that what I am proposing may be against the Constitution. I am advocating for a permanent green card status. I think it’s the best solution. And no I have no hidden motive. I truly don’t want them ever to vote. That’s not gonna change and there’s no plot.

Wow. Sort of agreed except: 1. They need to pay a fine. There has to be some penalty for breaking the law coming here. The public will never accept amnesty with no consequences, nor should they. 2. They should have almost all the rights and duties of citizens but they should never be full citizens in that they should never have the right to vote. Their children can have that.

Sure. I’ve said for years fine them $5000 and put them in the system. Warn them that if they ever commit a felony they face immediate deportation, and NEVER allow them to vote. But make them legal. But your solution (deportation no matter what) is impractical, impossible in large numbers, immoral, and frankly anti-American.

No the ones directing them to bother those who aren’t violent criminals, and the folks cheering this policy on, are the bastards. HTH ETA as for the ICE agents themselves, they’re only doing as instructed, but personally I would resign first before I rounded up non violent people in mass numbers.

I’ve been listening to some ACLU lawyers tonight. They are fighting the good fight (they are practically the only ones who are.) They are holding meetings telling these poor migrants who to call, what to do when and if ICE come knocking on their doors. The bastards won’t be able to deport even 5% of the folks they’re talking about, but they are creating terror in the migrant community which is absolutely shameful. Really cheering on the ACLU here.

When we look back at this in couple of years, the statistics will show you that (a) there won’t be significantly less undocumented immigrants here than there are now. (b) there won’t be significantly less violent crime here than there is now. And then maybe you’ll realize that you and most of the others here were duped; it was all a clown show that you fell for. No you’re being a reasonable person who isn’t behaving impulsively (in this instance.) You are definitely NOT the Prez. One of the non-ideological, non political reasons I didn’t vote for Trump is because he’s so chaotic. He constantly pulls this crap because he loves to be in the spotlight; I swear that is his #1 motivation always. He’s the most ubiquitous politician we’ve ever had; it’s exhausting. It’s going to be like this for 4 years. We’re only a week in. Most liberals and conservatives I know, despite our differences, have one thing in common: we want our politicians to do their jobs and leave us the fock alone most of the time. We want to live our lives, enjoy our lives, without the constant headlines and chaos. This is even true of political junkies like me.

So now Jerome Powell is a partisan hack? Who appointed him?
