You’re right my bad. But everything I wrote about pardons goes equal for commuting sentences. Unacceptable. They attacked the police. You don’t get to do that in a civil society. Ever.

No. It’s not equal. Biden deserves major criticism for his pardons. Trump deserves major criticism for some of his pardons. Every President does. But pardoning the Jan 6 rioters who committed violence (not the nonviolent ones), who attacked police- that’s unique. That’s beyond the pale, worse than any other Presidential Pardons in history. It’s unacceptable, there is no justifiable whataboutism, no reasonable excuse or explanation that can be offered.

Dont agree but I really don’t mind him being pardoned as I wrote. It’s the violent ones, the guys who attacked police officers. Please justify them going free. I can’t, it’s unacceptable. But go ahead, defend it.

The asylum cancellations aren’t meaningless. They will cause real pain to a lot of deserving desperate people. So congrats on that part. But ordering the border “secure” is meaningless.

I don’t care about the non violent pardons though it’s spitting on the Constitution to pardon them. But if he commutes the sentences of the violent ones then he’s committing treason against the USA IMO. But hey he’s done that before too.

No it isn’t; he’s gone back and forth. And there are several people expecting pardons tonight who won’t get them if this turns out to be true.

This still hasn’t happened. And now it’s sounding like it might be limited to non-violent offenders.

I doubt it will become necessary for me to hide people the way Anne Frank was hidden, or runaway slaves like the Underground Railroad, but I would if I had to.

I think what I predicted was long term dominance of the Presidency by Democrats (maybe 7 o 8 out of the next 10 elections.) Remains to be seen if I was right about that though admittedly at the moment it doesn’t seem like a wise prediction. But we’ll see. I don’t remember ever writing that Republicans would never win again. Doesn’t sound like me.

Most of them will face legal challenges including using the military.

He didn’t. And he can’t justify them IMO; the pardons were a really bad decision. But nobody’s perfect. He was overall a very good President and his speech was classy. We’re going to miss him.

I probably am. I woke up this morning and Trump is President again. So either I’ve gone insane or the rest of the country has.
