He did plenty of good things. But even the good things he did were sudden impulsive decisions. He never thinks anything out. Except for the need to be divisive.

Things were not great. His tariffs were already leading to the inevitable inflation we faced a few years later. But that will be nothing compared to his new tariffs (10-20% on all imports, 60% on China.) “Things were great when Trump was President” is a really lazy statement, because you don’t provide the evidence as to why. If you did you’d have to acknowledged that economic policies take a couple of years to take effect and that it was Obama’s prosperity that we were enjoying, Trump’s terrible trade policies didn’t come home to roost until around 2021, and Biden didn’t help by keeping many of these in place. But it’s nothing compared to the disaster it will be this time around. I really wish some of you so-called conservatives realized this. No true economic conservative could ever vote for Donald Trump.

He was trying to save lives. Social distancing was the only way to do that. Meanwhile President Trump was denying the crisis and caused a lot of people to die.

Nah, no threat. I simply believe the economy will really be hurt by his tariffs and times will be bad for all of us. Obviously if he wins I hope I’m wrong about this but I’m pretty sure I’m not.

Almost everybody that worked for him last time around is voting for Kamala this time around. Some of them, like his former press secretary, was there last night! When has this ever happened before? As Jamie Raskin put it, somebody needs to ask JD Vance, “Does it make you uncomfortable at all that the only reason you’re even here is because the MAGA crowd, with Trump’s approval, tried to put his last Vice President to death?”

How about the non-existent protests? The organizers (and some in the media) anticipated 30,000 people would show up and it would be like Chicago in 1968. But only around 3,500 showed up. Desperate to be noticed, they’re burning flags and shouting anti-Semitic epitaphs. But they’re too small to pay attention to. The fact is that, in terms of political impact for this election, the change of candidate from Biden to Harris has effectively made this issue go away.

I find your question very odd. I love my country, I’m invested in it. The USA is the greatest country in the history of human civilization based on our ideals. I want us to live up to those ideals. That’s why I care about these issues, and others.

You have already. Cops don’t stop you and harass you simply because you’re driving through a nice neighborhood. You don’t have to have “the talk” with your children. People don’t wonder if you truly deserve whatever job you have or if you’re an underserving “DEI hire.” In a million little ways your life is simply preferable to being a non-white person.
