I read today that Walz could have retired after 20 years but, after 9/11, decided to re-enlist. Then after 24 years he thought he could do more in Congress for veterans than he could continuing to serve. He was on the Veterans committee for several year. This story is going nowhere.

He’s still going on about crowd size. But I just don’t think he has the ability to do this. His narcissism is finally going to do him in.

1. There were no BLM riots. 2. my money didn’t go to the main office wherever that was, it went to local organizers in Long Beach to help pay for some specific marches at the time.

BLM had a good thing going in 2020. They were involved in peaceful protests (not riots) and they organized a lot of people who expressed discontent with the way police treat young black men. My family participated in these protests and I gave money to them. I don’t regret that. I still think the slogan is a good thing. But the organization appears to now be dominated by radical leftists whose ideas are far removed from my own and from most liberals. Too bad. I can’t support them any longer.

I have a fairly good idea that it will involve more investment into the economy and infrastructure, higher taxes on the very wealthy, tax credits for the poor and middle class, student loan forgiveness, improvement of Obamacare, etc. All the stuff Democrats have been proposing forever. Maybe there will be some surprises and I will address them then. Are you expecting surprises? One thing- if she comes out for high tariffs I will condemn that as a disaster. And it will give me nobody to support on that issue (and perhaps no one to support at all.) I sure hope she doesn’t.

I don’t believe your assertions here represent reality. You’re engaging in a lot of wishful thinking (for you.) The main problem with the “she’s a leftist” attack is that next week she’s going to lay out an economic plan that most of America will be in favor of. It will be filled with liberal (not leftist) proposals that Democrats have pushed for a long time and Republicans oppose, but high polling indicates the public likes. And there goes that attack. Moderates will vote for her. Your comment about black voters is even more absurd. Have you looked at any polls at all in the last month? Who are you kidding?

Her economic plan comes out next week. But it’s an important idea that I’m very much for as it will jump start the homebuilding industry and bring down inflation.

In his case not really. He’s a whiner. He has no clue how to handle her. I’ve been thinking that Kamala Harris was likely to win a very close election. But now I’m honestly beginning to wonder if this is going to be a blowout.

I certainly hope she steals a lot of good ideas wherever she finds them. And yes Trump has good ideas from time to time, even a broken clock… BTW Trump is already complaining about this like the whiner he is.

So a little of my own analysis as I think both sides are making some mistakes: 1. Kamala should ASAP give interviews, put a platform on her website, and agree to more debates. She’s giving Trump unnecessary ammunition IMO. She doesn’t have to be the most polished person out there so long as she remains likable. 2. Trump’s task is easier: attack Kamala on two issues: inflation and the border. That’s it! Don’t bring up all the other crap! Don’t complain about the “coup” or last time or crowd size or whether she is black or Indian. Don’t waste time trying to call her a Communist. Don’t keep calling her stupid. Inflation and the border. Those are her weaknesses. If Trump sticks to those two attacks, he has a very good shot of bringing down her poll numbers and still winning the election. But does he have the discipline to do this? He hasn’t shown it so far.

You may be happy to help but you’re not. The act you named had no effect on the worldwide inflation caused by Covid. It made things a little easier here for some people, that’s all. It didn’t create the inflation nor cure it.

The left has nothing to do with climate change. All the liberals in this country could disappear tomorrow and you’ll still have deal with climate change. You ignore it at your peril. Yes it is. It’s a fantasy.

There is no magical formula to lowering inflation. Trump is offering one “drill drill drill” but almost all economists point out that this won’t make any difference at all. On the other hand, Trump’s tariffs will have the opposite effect of increasing prices on everything. Not to mention his catastrophic mass deportation proposal which would devastate our economy. Simply put, if Kamala Harris is elected and does absolutely nothing with regard to the economy and inflation, she would still be an improvement on Trump’s ideas. But she won’t do absolutely nothing because her plan, stated continually though not yet on her website, is to continue to rebuild and improve our infrastructure in order to grow the economy. (It would help if she also lowered our existing tariffs on China.)

No it isn’t. That’s my point. It’s a big part of it because we SHOULD fear Trump. But Kamala Harris moved this from being the main element of the campaign, as it was under Biden, to being secondary to optimism about the future. Her central message is that America is not the dark place that Trump keeps telling us it is. Violent crime is not at the level the MAGA folks claim. We don’t need to fear undocumented immigrants, or the imminent collapse of the economy, or world war 3, or transgenders. We don’t need to fear at all. (To quote FDR, the only thing to fear is fear itself.) Kamala has discovered the secret sauce to finally destroying the awfulness of Donald Trump: joy and optimism in our future.

1. Our funding is definitely helping Ukraine fight Russia. 2. If Russia swallows Ukraine they will be, eventually, much more powerful than they are now. But if they attack a NATO country then I think they would lose. But I also think the whole world would suffer. I think it might lead to a nuclear war. I don’t want to see it! I don’t want to come close to seeing it! Why can’t you understand that by stopping Russia now we are saving ourselves from that possible catastrophe? I simply don’t get how people like you can be so blind about this.
