You know last night you accused me of being emotional vs you who relies on reason. But you have to realize that what you’re spewing here is pure emotion right? This is never going to happen. You will never stop undocumented people from coming here and you’ll never get most of them out. If you don’t believe me let’s revisit this topic in 6 months, in a year, in 5 years, in 10. Trump can slow the numbers down and with a friendly Congress he likely will. But that’s all. Forget about mass deportation.

I believe that Donald Trump is guilty of several crimes. But his election by the majority of Americans is de facto a pardon. IMO, all charges should now be dropped.

Well I don’t regard “Drudge” as the media. But I found Trump’s comment offensive. He wasn’t calling for her execution but he was introducing violent rhetoric where it wasn’t necessary. It’s the kind of thing he does all the time. It’s not my biggest issue with him but it’s an issue.

I want to be very clear about this: what we know about transsexuals comes not from the news media but from medical experts, including the AMA. I have no reason to distrust them so I will continue to base my views about them on that.

No. That part wasn’t reported as fact; that was an opinion and I have already stated why I don’t believe it.

They gave me the impression that while this was a close election that was mainly due to the electoral college and that only about 46% of the public supported Trump. They told me that Ted Cruz had a reasonable chance of losing and that Dems might hold on to the Senate. They told me that Latinos were still solidly in Harris’s corner. I could go on and on and on. Last night when I was watching MSNBC Joy Reid said “we all knew it was fantasy that Ted Cruz might lose. And we all knew Georgia and North Carolina were high hurdles for Kamala.” Well I didn’t know those things. And if they knew then they lied to me. And yeah this morning I’m pissed off about it. For years I’ve defended these people here and elsewhere. And I meant it, I wasn’t arguing just for the sake of arguing.

No. And while I won’t judge anyone else, when I am wrong I admit it. I was never as confident as @OldMaid, but I did make predictions and they were very wrong.

I think if Trump won the popular vote and Harris wins the electoral vote (by somehow miraculously pulling out Pennsylvania) that would be the greatest result ever. ETA but it ain’t happening.

Why shouldn’t they? I’m an economic centrist and social liberal. I believed, and still do, that Hillary would have made a great President. I believe that Kamala Harris would make a great President. Meanwhile Donald Trump represents everything I’ve always detested: isolationist, nativist, anti-immigrant, anti- free trade. These are all core issues for me. Of course I’m going to oppose him.

I am still holding out hope for a miracle but even if that happens your instincts were good. I still strongly disagree with your overall views, particularly about the media, but here is one bootlicker willing to admit: I think you were right. Feed me that crow. @Strike doesn’t deserve any credit at all. He never predicted anything, in fact he refused to make any predictions and ripped those of us who did (the liberal ones that is). I’ve always seen Trump more as a bumbling idiot than a true threat to our democracy. That’s why I’m saddened by this likely outcome but not despondent the way some of my liberal friends no doubt will be. Not despondent but tremendously disappointed. I honestly believe that we are headed for very bad times ahead. I hope I’m wrong of course. If Trump indeed wins I wish him well and hope things turn out for the best.

If Trump is going to be our President, and the Senate is going to be Republican, I would prefer the House stay Republican. Let’s have a red wave. If that’s what the public wants let’s do it and see what happens.
