Two new national polls this morning: https://www.forbes.com/sites/saradorn/2024/10/16/trump-vs-harris-2024-polls-harris-leads-by-2-points-in-latest-survey/ Marist College: Harris 52%, Trump 47% Economist/YouGov: Harris 49%, Trump 45% And before I get accused by @Strike of cherry-picking again, these are the polls that are out as of this morning. Yes the betting odds say something different, but that’s who gamblers think is going to win while polls are supposed to be a survey of those who will actually decide. So I’m sure you guys will take all of this with a grain of salt but the polls consistently show Kamala Harris with a national lead of 3-4 points. If she has that lead on Election Day (a big if) she will win.

I’m never all in on anything. I note them here when they make a difference. The betting markets are often very accurate but they rarely stray from the polling. This time they have. I think it’s reasonable to try and figure out why. Care to retract your defense of the Trump sh!tshow from Monday night? You took what the campaign said and repeated it like a lemming.

Yeah no. You might want to pay more attention to early voting. Kamala may very well win Georgia. There’s a lot of speculation about these betting markets. Apparently a couple of huge bets for Trump have skewed the results, along with a comment from fascist fan Elon. I wouldn’t depend too much on them.

All of you who think she’s buying votes- did by of you listen to the podcast interview from yesterday? I’m guessing no, because if you had you would realize how knowledgeable she is about these issues, how it’s not a sudden thing. Kamala Harris is so much better prepared for the Presidency than Donald Trump could ever hope to be. It’s not even particularly close. This is stupid. Trump isn’t going to ban video games. There’s enough to dislike him for without worrying about crap like this.

But I don’t hear any of that when I hear her speak. Exactly the opposite: she is charismatic, she inspires me, she is believable and I DO know her history. I approve of many of her plans, I think they will work. All I have to do is listen to her speak. But none of that is why she is, IMO, going to be our next President. It’s because she’s not Donald Trump. He is so awful, such a complete disaster, that she would have to be the preference even if she was all the things you wrote. Thankfully though she isn’t.

As I just wrote I heard her say it in the interview. It’s available by podcast if you want to hear it. I never make things up.

If you won’t answer my questions why should I answer yours? Thats what she said today, that these are things she has been proposing for some time. I’m Not going to bother to look it up. The point is it’s not a bribe and it’s also not a bad idea.

These proposed voter laws hurt rural blacks in particular who don’t use IDs on a regular basis. That’s by design. In Georgia in particular efforts by amazing organizers like Stacey Abrams have managed to overcome these restrictions but they’re still a hindrance- and completely unnecessary because there is no significant voter fraud and never has been.

Can you imagine if Joe Biden had done this?

Wow- 250,000 people voted in Georgia today- a record for the first day of early voting. Very hopeful news for Harris.

No she didn’t and this shows that you’re not really aware of this. It’s a subject she’s been focused on since she was a Senator, she’s proposed it before, both as a Senator and as VP. It’s neither idiotic nor corrupt, and for you to use those particular terms in light of some of the promises that Trump has made recently, with NO history behind them, also displays incredible hypocrisy on your part, or ignorance, or both.

Instead of the opinion of someone who absurdly believes Kamala is an idiot, I am listening to her interview with Charlemagne the God. It’s available on podcast. If you listen to this you may disagree with her, you may dislike her, but there’s no way you can possibly think she’s an idiot if you’re in the least a fair person.

First you need to demonstrate that she is “so unpopular” before the why.
