You asked this question already and I responded in another thread. If I were you I would watch the Democratic Convention coming up and you will quickly learn why she has become a rock star.

And they are extremely grateful to Biden. And Whelan and his family are extremely RESENTFUL of Trump whom they blame, justifiably, for ignoring his plight.

Whats important is that they won’t ever forget him.

At least here you tried to make some arguments. Too bad they’re completely false: 1. No voting process was subverted. Biden bowed out. The Democrats then followed the rules. In any event if you’re not a Democrat these rules have nothing to do with you. The Democratic Party is not part of the government or beholden to anyone except the Democratic Party. 2. FWIW I am opposed to expanding the Supreme Court; so is Joe Biden, so are many Democrats. But doing so, while a bad idea, is not a threat to democracy. The number of Supreme Court members has changed many times in our history. When I argue that Trump is a threat to our democracy I am arguing that he will attempt to subvert it through extralegal and corrupt means, like his attempt to stay in power after the 2020 election. Not to changes in the law proposed and passed by Congress.

She’s popular for a lot of reasons. But one of the MANY reasons she will win is because people are tired of hateful, ignorant, bigoted and sexist rhetoric like yours.

You started this post with the word “excrement” and that was a pretty good description of everything you’ve written here. Trump IS a threat to democracy. He IS a wannabe dictator. These are important points to keep hammering along with Kamala’s optimistic view of the future (that part I agree on.) And the Democrats haven’t opened the door to anything. If Trump wins and weaponizes the justice system he will be the first one since Nixon to do so. You need to stop with the ridiculously false narratives.

The inability of most people here to give Biden credit for this is really telling. It’s a remarkable diplomatic achievement, and it completely repudiates much of the false presentation of Biden as incapacitated. It’s also a fine rebuttal of the Trump isolationist idea that we don’t need alliances.

What happened to Biden being MIA? If he’s truly mentally incapacitated, how did he accomplish this? This deal, along with getting our people free, makes everything conservatives have been writing about Biden for months look really stupid. He’s old and tired but he hasn’t lost it. And Trump looks like a total idiot.

It is broken and I approve of looking for ways to fix it. I don’t agree with all of the Republican solutions. ETA but you’re referring to the old GOP anyhow. The party of Trump won’t touch this issue.

Hey I’m curious about something: yesterday and today the Trump campaign has had a number of black surrogates on television, especially on Fox but also CNN, defending his statements about Kamala Harris at the NABJ. Are these people DEI hires?

Umm no, politically the “weird” thing has been a complete success and is only growing.

I started to get enthusiastic about her a couple of months ago when I heard her give some interesting interviews. Then, the day after Biden quit, I heard her first speech- and I thought “Reagan”: sunny and optimistic and she’s improved incredibly as a speaker since 2020. Then I heard more speeches and started to get really excited. I think she’s going to win, and I think she’s going to be a good President.

It’s not interesting. It’s stupid. And very weird. With regard to your earlier post I can’t find it. But I remember that I wanted to say that undocumented immigrants are a net benefit to the economy in the first generation, it’s not something we have to wait for. As one of many examples, they pour millions of dollars into Social Security without taking anything out- they’re helping to keep it afloat.
