Sorry guys I hate to be the party pooper (not really) but almost none of this stuff is going to happen. First off, it’s still more likely than not that Kamala Harris will be our next President. In the event that Trump wins it’s still more likely than not that he has a Democratic House. BUT- for the sake of argument let’s assume that Jon is right and it’s Trump with a Republican House and Senate and nobody to stop them. History strongly suggests that they will govern terrified, meaning that they will be unwilling to do ANYTHING that could possibly make anyone upset. So what it means is this- more tax cuts. And that’s it- no spending cuts, no significant changes. Security at the border will be for show. No way is Congress going to piss off agriculture by actually deporting massive numbers of undocumented immigrants. Not gonna happen. Now tariffs that WILL happen because Trump doesn’t need Congress. But I suspect that Trump will try this and then quickly give them up after business people complain. So again: another tax cut. That’s about it domestically. Foreign policy is a completely different subject and I have a lot of concerns there.

Kamala has stayed consistently ahead but I’m trying to be kind to the Maga crowd.

Fox completely buried their polling showing Harris up by 6 points in the swing states. They won’t break that down. Why is that?

Silver had Harris up by a point, now he has Trump up by a point. Like I said I’m feeling pretty good about this. Why does that bother you so much? If Harris loses you’ll just have another opportunity to make fun of me. You should look forward to that.

Yeah I saw that poll. But the on the ground reporting on early voting in Georgia and North Carolina is that it heavily favors Harris. So I’ll go with that.

No. You misunderstand Carlin, and it doesn’t surprise me, Carlin was able to make fun of people and things without cruelty. This is why so many conservatives are so unfunny- because they think cruelty is funny.

Starting to feel pretty confident here. Record breaking early voting numbers is really good news for Kamala Harris. I also think her closing message is terrific and Trump seems unhinged. Bring on Election Day; gonna be close but I think she’s got the edge here.

1. Yes of course. (I wouldn’t have, but my views on this issue are far more extreme than Kamala’s). 2. Yes but I’m skeptical that Johnson would work with her. The budget can’t be balanced without significantly raising taxes AND cutting spending including spending on wasteful military projects, not just stuff that liberals like. Johnson hasn’t displayed any willingness to consider either approach.
