I find it fascinating that conservatives remain obsessed with the Clinton Foundation, and also with the money Hunter Biden made while his dad was President. I read yesterday that, per Forbes, Trump’s family has made THREE BILLION DOLLARS this year. Mainly from Crypto, which strikes me as a huge Ponzi scheme, which Trump conveniently deregulated and pardoned one of the main culprits. (He says he doesn’t know why he pardoned him- ask his sons.)

Two simple questions for @Jon_mx and any other Trump supporter who agrees that this is a hoax: 1. If you were a member of Congress would you vote for or against the discharge petition? 2. If President Trump vetoes the discharge petition (if and when it reaches his desk) will you be OK with that?

We will see.

Yeah they ran into a buzz saw tonight and it wasn’t pretty. OKC is very clearly the best team in the league, and the Lakers aren’t going to compete with them until all their stars are healthy and had time to mesh. And even then it’s going to be a struggle.

But surely this was a good restriction. Now once again there are sure to be tons of subprime loans. And we can look forward to another crash, and probably another bailout.

Here’s a revealing editorial from Mark Hemingway with The Federalist: https://thefederalist.com/2025/11/12/latest-epstein-emails-about-trump-appear-to-be-just-another-misleading-democrat-info-op/ So he spends the whole editorial ripping Democrats on Epstein- they’re misrepresenting the emails, cherry picking, etc., Trump’s innocence is clear, etc. But then towards the end of the piece he writes this: “Anyway, at this point rather than let stories drip out like this, Congress and/or Trump should call Democrats bluff and just release all the Epstein files. ….Maybe I’m wrong but it seems pretty obvious to me Trump has little to fear…” No discussion of the fact that Trump has had this opportunity for months but refuses to do it. And how exactly are the Democrats “bluffing”? No answer. But it’s interesting that he’s for this. It sounds like he wants to cover his tracks just in case. Could this be a trend?

This actually seems to be the sentiment of a lot of MAGA folks tonight. Yet the reporting is consistent that about 100 House Republicans are going to defy Trump and vote for the discharge petition. If that’s true it means that there are MAGA folks out there who still want this stuff to be released no matter how much it might hurt Trump. I guess they’re out there but I’m not seeing it.

You mean the one where you argue that we have better healthcare than many nations with universal healthcare? No reason to disagree with that. But again it’s irrelevant.

Can someone explain this hemp restriction in the bill to me? Who does it help? Who does it hurt?

That we’re gonna end up with universal healthcare no matter what we do, because the public will never agree to going back to having folks with pre-existing conditions either be rejected or have to pay more. So all of the arguments against universal healthcare are irrelevant. We jumped the shark with ACA. There’s no going back.

You know you can keep slamming me for quoting Martin Luther King Jr all you want but it’s not accurate. Like MLK I believe that if a law is immoral it should be fought against with civil disobedience. YOU are the one, with your blind support of what ICE is doing, that supports breaking the law to achieve your goal.

In her short speech, in addition to trashing Trump and Johnson (who was forced to stand there and listen to it, love that!) she ripped ICE, defended Latinos and the rights of LGTBQ. She sounds great.

“Justice cannot wait another day.” She is signing the discharge petition as her first official act.

I didn’t know this but she is the first Latina from Arizona ever to be elected to Congress. Good for her. She is trashing Trump for ICE- and now she is trashing Mike Johnson for waiting 50 days for swearing her in. Now she is joined by two Epstein survivors. This is awesome.

What the White House doesn’t seem to understand is that if they actually DO succeed in talking Boebert or somebody else to withdraw their name from the discharge petition that will only make things worse. The news will explode with it and it will dominate all political discussion.

This is where you guys get it so wrong. You begin with the assumption that everyone is only concerned with “whats in it for me”. You couldn’t be more incorrect in my case or in the case of most people, conservative and liberal alike.

There is no way for people with pre-existing conditions to pay the same as everyone else without eventually having universal healthcare. None. You know this.

These people are going to suffer while you attempt to put in solutions that make take years to accomplish. That’s not acceptable to me. I suspect it won’t be acceptable to the public either.

Because it’s an excuse by you to do nothing. Of course we should look at bringing costs down. But since Republicans and Democrats generally disagree on the best way to do this, it will take long months or years to come up with an effective plan. And it will take further years to determine if that plan was successful. In the meantime, millions of Americans are either without healthcare or looking at impossible increases due to this end of the subsidies. And your solution is to do nothing in the meantime.

Then it will be up to MAGA voters. If they’re willing to go along with this charade (and based on their history there’s no reason to assume they won’t) then the discharge petition will fail, and the full Epstein files will not be released, at least not during the current term.
