But again that doesn’t make Trump’s comment about any more true. This isn’t a court of law. We know what Trump meant when he talked about late term abortions and it was a made up lie and deserved to be corrected. We know what Harris meant when she talked about combat and it was not really a lie and did not deserve to be corrected. And really none of this matters anyhow: Trump lost the debate, badly, because he came off as crazy and unhinged, which he is, and Harris came off as smart and ready, which she is. Your continual personal insults mean nothing to me. I don’t choose to reciprocate. But I don’t think they make you look good.

The bullets were nowhere close to Trump, apparently. They caught the guy. It sounds to me like the security worked.

It’s close enough to what she meant. The reason that they corrected Trump twice is because he made up stories: first that Democrats are aborting babies after they’re born, and second that Haitian immigrants are eating dogs and cats in Springfield, Ohio. These are completely concocted lies, they’re not misstatements or shading the truth which all politicians tend to do. I sense your anger and name calling of me stems from your frustration as you may be recognizing how this election is going. It’s kind of childish.

You think that excuses Trump? He’s a national figure that millions of people listen to. When he says it it is far more important than when some dude at a city council meeting says it. If some Hatian little kid gets beat up at school, if any Haitians in Springfield are harmed, that’s partly on Trump.

Haitian immigrants in Springfield are concerned for their lives. They’re getting death threats. What the hell are we doing here? How can anyone think this is OK?

Apparently JD Vance once again repeated the Haitian lie on Meet the Press this morning. Trump has gotten away with so many outrageous, absurd and offensive claims over the years. He makes them and then we (his opponents) think THIS will be the one that gets him, the public won’t accept this. But then they do. It’s forgotten because things are expensive or some other reason. But maybe, finally, the tide has turned?

I run my mouth all the time. And I’m usually right (especially when I’m discussing stuff with you.) OK I read the DOJ statistics and violent crime is up. It’s nowhere near the panicky levels that Trump is claiming it is, we’re still overall at historically low numbers compared to the 70s and before, and in any case it has nothing to do with undocumented immigrants (which has been Trump’s main claim and which you idiotically parrot several times a day in this forum.) Every study that’s ever been made on that subject shows that undocumented immigrants commit LESS crime than citizens do. Finally even if violent crime becomes a real problem for us, Kamala the prosecutor is going to be better at dealing with it than Trump the convicted felon.

Well I don’t agree with you that any of her policies, past or present, are destroying this country. So we have a definite difference of opinion right there and probably elsewhere. And I think calling Kamala Harris a chronic liar, particularly given her opponent, really stretches the limits of credibility beyond any breaking point.
