No. Not even close. Nice try though.

This would be a good argument if I had stated that this association was LEGALLY disqualifying. But I didn’t.

I used to have this attitude. But it all changed basically with the advent of right wing talk radio, the Tea Party, and then Donald Trump. That was when people I previously thought were intelligent and well-informed began to believe the most outlandish nonsense: that Obama was born in Kenya, that man made climate change is a lie, that the Covid vaccine was dangerous, that Trump won the election in 2020, etc. etc. Now they believe that Haitian immigrants are eating our pets, that Trump’s prosecutions are a weaponization of the Justice Department, that Trump really won the last debate. And they’re voting. So these people, who think they are informed, need to be countered. And they need to be defeated, soundly. And that means we need a whole lot of people to vote for the other side. The more the merrier. Taylor Swift helps in that regard.

I don’t think Trump’s decision to reject all further debates will be good for him.

As a general rule I think Haitians make terrific Americans and their presence anywhere in this country is a benefit to that place. As an even more general rule I believe this of all migrants. And I hate bigotry.

I didn’t say it was cool. I wrote I didn’t have a problem with it so long as he was referring to only those who were violent felons. You’re correct that reading is fundamental and you need to read what I wrote a little more carefully. You also need to realize something; the only reason that @HellToupee uses that term is to trigger you. He mentions it in the exact same way Kamala mentioned crowd size in the debate: because he knows it will get a reaction from you every time. And it does.

Unlike some others around here, I don’t mind you using the term “bad hombres.” I just want you to acknowledge that, of the millions of undocumented immigrants in this country, only a tiny handful are bad hombres- violent felons. And yes the ones that are should be arrested, punished for their crimes, and deported. All other undocumented immigrants should be fined for coming here illegally and then given a chance to stay. And the border should be tightened to stop the flow. Agreed? (Of course none of this applies to Haitians or anyone else who came here through legal means.)

This is a woman who travels with Trump and is regarded as a close advisor.

I think pundits are making too much of the small amount of undecided voters out there. This election will come down to which group of DECIDED voters is more motivated to get out and vote.

Except that Kamala really is, IMO, a very good candidate who will make a very good President.

I would certainly argue this point, but let’s assume it’s correct for the moment. It then leads to two questions: 1. Why were things better, in your opinion, with Trump as President and what did he specifically do to make them better? 2. What steps do you believe Trump would do this time around to improve things again? Which of his (IMO vague) promises do you think will make things better?

You need to calm down.

23 years? Really hard to believe. Anybody been to Ground Zero? It’s incredibly moving. In fact so moving I don’t know if I would ever go back. It really shook me up.
