I don’t like him either but I don’t need to resort to racism to express it. Also- has he really said anything anti-Jewish? Or just anti-Israel? Because despite what some conservatives think it’s not the same thing.

The accusation is that Biden has dementia. Like many people here I have had family members who suffered from this. If you have it, there is no drug, no remedy that can make you temporarily more alert. I wish there was.

Oh I agree that both parties are nearly equally guilty. I say nearly because from time to time Democrats raise taxes and that reduces the annual deficit a little bit (not much but a little.) Republicans do nothing at all. Neither side cuts spending, ever. But I call out Republicans more because (1) they are the ones who always b!tch about it, especially when a Democrat is President, despite doing nothing and (2) because Republicans, when in power, ALWAYS increase the debt and deficit way more than Democrats do. It’s not even close. They are completely irresponsible when it comes to this, Trump most of all.

Conservatives will have only themselves to blame when Biden wins this debate. They’ve been lying for months now about his supposed diminished capacities, claiming he can’t remember what he had for breakfast, poops his pants, etc. Now they’ll have to make up reasons why he appeared alert and lucid: drugs, etc.

Maybe because Nancy didn’t lie about this at all?

Biden can win the debate if he appears normal and lucid. And if he keeps the focus on Trump’s crazy ideas.

Conservatives shouldn’t ever bring up social security or debt issues until they come up with plans for fixing them. We already know that if Trump gets in he’s going to massively increase the debt, as he did last time even before Covid, and do nothing to address Social Security.

Tapper was correct ( he usually is and your characterization of him is awful) but Trump’s comments were terrible anyhow. People who march alongside Nazis, even if they’re not Nazis themselves, are still not very fine people. Trump isn’t a Nazi but he is a racist bigot who sometimes sympathizes with Nazis as he did here. He deserved to be condemned for it, not to mention for all the other bigoted and racist comments he makes on a nearly daily basis.

I believe that soon a state like Louisiana will pass a law banning same sex marriage. The goal will be the same as this one: trying to get these issues revisited by the new conservative Supreme Court.

Jill is right about this. It’s not the main reason to vote for Biden but it’s a good one.

I actually think your criticism of Biden may be a fair one. But Trump will never raise it because that would involve a substantive discussion about Social Security and the debt in general, and I don’t believe Trump is capable of a serious wonklike issue related discussion of that sort. I don’t think he understands it.

Honestly I disagree with you. Biden has bad arthritis which is why he has trouble walking. But I haven’t seen any indication that his mind is affected or that there is any kind of mental dementia. I just don’t see it.
