Maybe you should go back home to wherever your ancestors came from and stop telling other people where to live. They have just as much right to this country as you do, maybe more since they’re newer to it.

Some studies distinguish between documented and undocumented immigrants (these are the correct terms to use since there is no such thing as an “illegal” immigrant since a person cannot be illegal). I don’t. To me it’s the same thing. And I would note that most people opposed to undocumented immigrants are equally opposed to documented immigrants as well, since the root of the opposition lies in cultural and racial fears. I don’t understand why your second point is relevant. Who gives a fock where they’re from unless you’re a racist (which I didn’t consider you to be.)

All the lies spread on the conservative side is really getting tiresome. It’s an almost daily chore to try and correct all the misinformation. And people wonder why I depend on the MSM- for all of its flaws, you can’t rely on any other source to tell you what’s actually happening.

Actually it’s the right that demands we give disinformation more clout than it deserves based on the supposedly redeeming quality of it being uncensored.

@jerryskids I want to get back to your justification for labeling Kamala Harris a socialist. Earlier you offered as one of your primary reasons her former support for Medicare for all, but since the vast majority of western and capitalist countries have some sort of universal healthcare system, I don’t see how this can be defined as a socialist position. One might as well argue that having public schools is a socialist position (indeed some libertarians do make this argument, and against public roads as well, but it’s extreme.) It seems to me that most of your arguments aren’t against Kamala per se but against the mainstream positions of the Democratic Party, which do involve government involvement in certain aspects of private industry but not government takeover of most private industry. Therefore I don’t think it’s socialism.

I won’t be celebrating. I fully believe Kamala will win but it will be close. Which means that no matter what, once again 70 million people will vote for this guy Trump. How did we get here? So depressing .

Yea it is. Trump says crazy sh!t 7 days a week, he makes up crazy sh!t 7 days a week and the media just lets it go and questions whether Kamala supports fracking. It’s absolutely ridiculous. Trump is allowed by the media to get away with stuff no other politician in our history ever would. Ever since 2016 the media has basically done whatever Trump wanted. Because he’s great for ratings. And they ignore the threat to our democracy and capitalism that he represents.

So now Trump says the whole Arlington thing never happened? It’s all made up by Kamala? What happened to the woman having the “mental issue?”

I called them ugly. I showed a picture of some women at a Trump rally to prove my point. It was meant to be an obvious joke, (In real life I know some very beautiful women who are Trump fans.) Oh well. I never got anyone permabanned. You’re just lying like you do so often.

You’re wrong. But I’m not going to argue the point. Because Netanyahu is not to blame for this (even though about half the Israeli population now seem to think so.)

Such an awful sentiment. I could just as easily blame Netanyahu for refusing to agree to a reasonable ceasefire and bringing the hostages safely out of there. Or I could blame Trump for encouraging BIbi to ignore Biden. But I won’t. Because Hamas is to blame for this and nobody else. When people blame Republicans, or Democrats, they’re being stupid and shameful.

The news that 6 of the hostages were found dead is horrible. But I’ve also been irritated by some of the reactions: 1. On CNN I watched a guy blame Netanyahu. 2. On Meet the Press I watched Tom Cotton blame Biden and Harris for not supporting Israel enough. 3. On a progressive radio station I heard a dude blame Trump for encouraging Netanyahu to ignore Biden. These responses from both left and right are a product of our age of moral relativism. So let’s be very clear. Some or all of the above people may have made mistakes depending on your point of view. But NONE of them are to blame for this. Hamas is to blame for this. Full stop. They are evil. They are terrorist. How we should respond to them is open to reasonable debate. But they are ones responsible.

This is a prime situation in which the conservative belief that the MSM promotes liberal outcomes completely fails. Because the media does NOT want Kamala to walk away with this thing; a tight race all the way to the end will result in much higher ratings. It would serve the media far better if Trump wins the debate next week. (Not to mention the fact that 4 more years of a chaotic Trump will ensure much higher ratings than if he goes away.) However, as always, they will be stuck with the truth whatever it turns out to be.

Yeah this crossed my mind as well. But since I expect her to perform well I’m not worried about it and I think the expectations will end up helping her.
