First off it won’t happen. She doesn’t have the votes, even among Democrats, to make this happen. But more importantly people like you continue to look at this stuff in a vacuum. The reality is that if Trump gets in his tariffs will be far far worse for the economy than any capital gains tax. And since Trump doesn’t need Congress to make tariffs happen he won’t be impeded. What you’re effectively saying is “Kamala Harris is going to cost me $500 a year more so screw her; I’m voting for the guy who will cost me $5,000 a year more!”

Trump has been so disrespectful to the military in the past and most people IN the military have ignored it, mainly because they tend to be politically conservative so they don’t want to attack their own side. I’m not worked up, just amused that so many of you seem to think she’s a Communist, without any knowledge of what the word even means.

Also for those who care (not that too many here do based on their posts) Communism means the seizure by the government of the means of production for an economy: private businesses become owned by the collective public rather than individuals.

Please name a single one of her specific proposals that is Communist. Again be specific (and please don’t bring up price controls since she hasn’t proposed any.) TIA.

Just about everything you wrote here is the opposite of reality. Trump was a terrible economic President last time around well before Covid, this time he will be far worse. He is a ridiculously awful foreign policy President. Biden has been an overall success for strengthening NATO and standing up to Putin. Kamala Harris who is anything but vapid will continue that trend and show strength as opposed to Trump being a weak laughingstock who held exactly nobody at bay.

In recent weeks Trump has proposed: 1. A law forcing automobile insurance companies to lower their rates. 2. A law that would give him, as President, the power to force the Fed to lower or raise interest rates at Trump’s discretion. 3. Raising tariffs on 100% of all goods imported into this country at a rate of 20% and 60% on China. Yet we are told that Kamala is the marxist, Kamala is the one who wants to interfere with the free market. That has got to be one of the most hypocritical arguments of all time.

Based on your posts I doubt you could explain what being a Communist, or Marxist, or socialist even means, much less describe any differences between them. And your use of the word “liberal” as a synonym for any of these displays a total ignorance on the subject on your part. If I were you I would put away your paranoid fears of the Democratic Party and worry more about the cultist sh!tshow that the Republicans have become. Because until you guys are willing to walk away from isolationism and xenophobia in general, and Donald Trump specifically, you’re going to have to deal with Democratic majorities for years or decades to come. Which really sucks because we need a viable conservative political party pushing for the free market and strength abroad. But you people have walked away from that and now you have to reap the consequences.

Here’s a clue: you can’t write something like this and at the same time be skeptical of the centrism of others. Your assertion. Is so extreme, and also so false, that it removes your ability to judge anybody else.

One thing I loved about that convention is that it was so patriotic. For years the Republicans have tried to pretend that they’re the patriots, yet they support a guy who tried to overthrow our system of government and who constantly demeans the military. The Democrats are the party of real patriots these days.
