I believe that children with the consent of their parents should have the right to gender affirming care. However I’m not convinced it’s a Constitutional right. That seems like a stretch to me so I’m pretty skeptical about this decision. I could be convinced otherwise; frankly I would like to be, but at this point I’m not.

Not quite. Biden often lies about himself, that’s true. But while Trump does this as well, Trump also tells lies about other people and larger issues, which are quite dangerous: 1. Obama faked his birth certificate. 2. Bad countries in Latin America are deliberately opening their prisons and sending us the criminals. 3. Large groups of Muslims in New York and New Jersey celebrated and cheered the Twin Towers going down. 4. The 2020 election was fixed. 5: The FBI staged the January 6 riot. Etc etc. The list of Trump lies is endless.

Lol no such thing. People are individuals. There are many black people who are just as great as undocumented immigrants. But I truly believe that as a whole, undocumented immigrants, and immigrants in general (unlike many people here I don’t differentiate) are truly remarkable people.

Biden also just gave a speech about guns and really sounded good. Crowd was extremely enthusiastic.

What did I refuse to acknowledge? When did I ever discuss the plea agreement? If I posted anything it was that it seemed pretty dumb to me. I’m just laughing at Johnson’s insistence that of course the Justice Department is weaponized because “each case is different.”

Based on some of your previous posts I suspect YOUR answer is the racial makeup of the community. And I reject that answer. I have already stated that I agree with conservatives that the lack of two parent households for many African-Americans contributes to this issue. So does the legacy of slavery and Jim Crow. And with a nod to my friend @RLLD I will concede the possibility that certain well meaning liberal ideas and programs have probably contributed to this issue as well. This is a complicated subject. But I still believe that society has to work to help solve this problem and that government has to play a role.

All I personally wrote about that chant is that I didn’t believe that most of those who used it, particularly the college students, understood the full meaning of the chant. And I also pointed out that right wing Israelis like Netanyahu have used similar terms. But I don’t like that chant and would never support its use.

I did try to answer you. But I need to correct one point: poverty is not an excuse for crime. It’s a REASON for crime, and one we need to address as a society, but not an excuse. Anyone who commits a crime needs to be punished for the crime no matter what underlying reasons. There are no excuses for violent crimes.

I wrote, EXACTLY: “You have only ever linked to polls that look bad for him (Biden)”. That was a true statement. The only way to disprove it is to show a post in which you linked to a poll that was positive. This all started because you accused me of only focusing on polls that were positive for Biden which is also untrue as I demonstrated just now. This makes you a double liar. Congrats! Mongo right!

Thats a big part of the reason. But cynics here are suggesting that he’ll wait until the election is over, and then issue the pardon. I say it won’t happen. This crime isn’t worthy of some long prison sentence anyhow.

Putting aside the plus or minus of Trump’s proposal: as a practical matter he would need a Republican House and Senate to go along with this and, even if Republicans win all 3 branches I still doubt it happens. There will certainly be a corporate tax cut though.

I am glad to learn that conservatives agree that there should be legal consequences for lying on a gun background check. Perhaps now we can get background checks for ALL gun sales and transfers, including private sales and gun shows, with no loopholes?
