His nickname is the “Happy Warrior”. The last politician with this nickname was also from Minnesota: Hubert Humphrey.

“Walz is too leftist” will get exactly as far as “Kamala is too leftist”- exactly nowhere. The problem with this attack is that Republicans have made it against every Democratic nominee since 1932. This isn’t the boy who cries wolf, it’s the old man who has cried wolf his entire frigging life.

Didn’t you post the other day that it was going to be Shapiro? It wasn’t a prediction on your part; you KNEW.

What I’m reading is that he’s a really dynamic speaker- folksy and funny. If this is true (I’ve never heard him) then Walz will make an impression at the convention and won’t be a “meh” at all. But we’ll see.

Not reading anywhere that he shares Bernie’s economic views. Doubt this will work.

I admire his service and I’m grateful for it.

When I was a kid in the 1970s my whole family were LA Rams fans. Went to some games at the Colisseum. Rams had a great team, every year they’d go 10 and 4. Pat Haden, Jack Youngblood, Lawrence McCutcheon- great team. Then in the playoffs every year they would head to Minnesota and had to play outside in January- and that was the end of the Rams. I remember thinking as a kid that Minnesota was where the Rams went to die.

Well he never saw combat but he was deployed. Maybe because I didn’t serve myself, I tend to admire anyone who has.

Frankly I am hoping no correction at all, just another day trader overreaction.

What’s sad is that a drunk Kamala is 1000 times preferable to a sober Trump. (Hell, a comotose Kamala would be better).

In the end Muslims will vote for Kamala. I believe that in the end they would have voted for Biden too, because Trump is an anti-Muslim bigot and they know it.
