I don’t. Registered Democrats vote for electors. The electors are committed to the candidate the voters chose unless he quits. Then they’re free to vote for who they choose. They’re choosing the vice-President in this case. The vast majority of Democratic voters who voted for Biden want this; I would guess close to 99%. So no I don’t think this is anti-Democratic at all.

I would guess that 100% of the folks who are supposedly upset about the people voting for Biden losing their vote did not, in fact, vote for Biden.

See none of this is going to work. If Trump and conservatives attack Kamala over what she should have or might have known about Biden, it’s only going to garner sympathy for her and dislike for Trump for being so ugly. Also, given Trump’s own cognitive problems, it’s a very high risk play. As for her record, everybody knows that VPs do very little and nobody will be impressed by any attack over that. Her current popularity ratings are based on Joe Biden- and they’re completely irrelevant after the last 24 hours. Finally, calling her a Marxist pawn may play in MAGA country but for most of the public it looks foolish and extreme. The fact is that as both an attorney general and Senator she was centrist, tougher on crime than most liberals, and pro-business. You’ll have to try something else.

Why did Biden select Harris to be VP? If all he wanted was a black woman, why not any black woman on the street? There are several million black women in this country. Why not just have a lottery and pick whoever wins it? Do you see how idiotic this DEI argument is? How silly and how racist?

None of this is fact. All of it is heavily contradicted by anyone who knows them. There is no hatred between Biden and Kamala or Jill and Kamala.

JFK had great speechwriters but his delivery was lacking IMO. A better comparison would be Ronald Reagan- not in terms of policy (though Reagan would never support Trump) but in terms of energy and optimism.

I think I’ve been pretty honest about Joe Biden lately. But whatever: you can discount what I’m saying because I’m the one saying it. But go ahead and watch the speech. Forget about her political positions which I already know you strongly disagree with. Just pay attention to the energy and the dynamic nature- and then watch Trump’s latest speeches and his lack of energy and rambling from topic to topic- and you’ll be forced to agree with me.

Will Trump dare debate her? If he does he’s going to be crushed. If he doesn’t he will look like a big pu$$y. No way out of this trap.

He just called in to Kamala’s speech. Sounded fine, just a little hoarse. Cognitively he’s fine, just slower and tired. He quit because he knew he might lose due to lack of energy. But as President for the next six months (until Kamala takes over) he’ll be fine.

All of the comments about Kamala I’ve read in the last 24 hours on this website and from conservatives elsewhere- you can forget all of it. It’s meaningless. She gave the best political speech I’ve heard since Obama in his heyday- it actually reminded me of Ronald Reagan. Smart, cheerful, optimistic, incisive, and deadly critical of Trump. I don’t know how he’s going to handle her. I don’t think he can.

Not for long. Expect her approval rating to go way up in the next few weeks and stay there.

In all seriousness: I don’t think you guys get how the mood of this campaign has been transformed in less than 24 hours. The energy and excitement on the Democratic side is off the charts.
