To your first question I don’t know. It seems like a pretty minor crime and it was done before she came in. So I’m honestly not sure. Maybe. Best answer I can give. To your second question yes. It seems clear to me that Donald Trump is all about testing the limits of his executive power and attempting to impose a dictatorship on this country. Anyone who resists that is a hero to me.

Trump always gives it away. On Tuesday morning he said at the Cabinet meeting: “We’ll have a majority (in the Fed) very shortly. Once we have a majority housing is going to swing.” Then he fired Cook a day later. You guys can argue it’s a legit firing but it’s bullsh!t and you know it.

This is not a good solution. If selling a gun to a mentally ill person is a bad idea in terms of public safety then it should be illegal to do so.

Free speech isn’t unlimited. Sometimes restrictions are necessary for public safety. The Oliver Wendell Holmes example of yelling “fire!” In a crowded theater is a prime example. I think we can place certain restrictions on gun purchasing as well, for the same reason: public safety.

How about we just make it illegal to do so? Why do you consistently support politicians who oppose this idea?

Let’s move beyond the tranny/mental illness debate. Surely you would agree that there was something mentally wrong with this dude beyond being a tranny (otherwise all trannies would be violent mass murderers and we know that’s not the case.) I think a mental examination might spot warning signs. As I wrote it wouldn’t be perfect and probably some people would get through the cracks. Others would simply purchase guns illegally. We can’t stop them all. But I think we should try to make it more difficult.

Talking to somebody causally, and giving them an interview designed to detect mental illness are two different animals. What I’m suggesting wouldn’t be infallible by any means but I think it would help.

It sounds to me like you vote conservative mostly for economic reasons (such as your complaints about California bureaucracy, etc.) Does the Republican intolerance on trans and gay issues bother you?
