No idea how this is going to end up. Biden is obviously hoping that a good press conference and another interview with Lester Holt will solve all his problems. But that seems highly optimistic. On the other hand, if Biden continues to proclaim that hell no he’s not leaving the race what are the Democrats going to do? If they continue to doubt him that only guarantees Trump’s victory. So if I were advising Biden and I wanted him to stay in, I would tell him just stick with it and eventually all the Democrats will be with you, they HAVE to. But surely he’s already calculated this. Such a focking mess.

She was asked if she supported Biden. She said she supported him making the decision. It was pointed out that he already MADE the decision. She then repeated that he was going to have to make the decision. I think my title is accurate. The news media is focusing more on the Clooney letter but it was Pelosi that unleashed the hounds, IMO.

This is really a historic event going on with Biden right now. I can’t recall a similar situation in American history. It did happen in British history to Nevile Chamberlain in 1940; a rebellion of young members of Parllament forced him out in favor of Winston Churchill. But I can’t think of an American example.

Hunter Biden could be snorting a mountain of coke on the Buchanan desk ala Tony Montana, and it would still be an improvement over Jared Kushner.

Almost everything you wrote in your post is false but this is the most false of all.

It’s not a lie, (I don’t think it was deliberate) it’s just not accurate. There’s no lawsuit. There’s a call for an investigation, and AOC introduced articles of impeachment. You can criticize this if you want but it shouldn’t be called “a lawsuit”.

Exactly. The key to winning this election is to make it “Trump” vs “Not Trump.” Right now it’s “Biden” vs “Not Biden”.

I shouldn’t say it means nothing. What I meant is that I doubt it will put pressure on Biden to withdraw. Pelosi can.

Pelosi’s comment gives me pause. I could care less what Clooney says, means nothing. But Pelosi is the greatest politician of the modern era. She never says ANYTHING without reason. Maybe Joe is in trouble after all.

What’s really sad is that there is no aspect of the Presidency that hasn’t been superior under Biden, whether it’s the economy, inflation, immigration, foreign affairs, climate change, any issue you could name- Biden has done a better job. Part of this is by default, really grading on a curve, because it’s hard to find a worse President than Donald Trump. It’s not even a close comparison. But due to poor messaging the public doesn’t seem to get this. Too bad.

No reasonable person would disagree with you on this, or disagree that Biden did a tremendous job. @Strike and @jerryskids are either ignorant of the truth or refuse to see it. It’s not only him. One of the real powers in the Democratic Party is the Black leadership- particularly Jim Clyburn who got Biden the nomination in the first place. Clyburn wavered at first but now they’re solidly behind Biden. So long as they are no rebellion will ever succeed.

The purpose is to help law enforcement identify illegal firearms and unlawful owners of firearms. I see no reason for anyone else to have access to it, Israel has universal registration and a higher percentage of gun owners than we do.

Thats one difference. Another is that Biden, for all his flubs, miscues, and mistakes is generally a honorable guy who wants what’s best for this nation, while Trump is a dishonorable guy who will sacrifice the nation’s interests to his own.
