If someone said to you “I am opposed to this action by Biden because some of these people he is protecting, who have been married to US citizens for at least 10 years, and most of whom came here as young children, and have never committed any felonies, might nontheless be violent criminals and they should all be deported because we can’t take a chance”, would you regard that as a reasonable position to hold?

No doubt it could backfire. Lots of people are currently unreasonable on this issue. But hopefully common sense will prevail and Biden will win.

Im terms of comparison between undocumented immigrants and those born here it’s not faulty at all. In any case it defies common sense to believe that those undocumented immigrants who are violent criminals are anything but a tiny minority of the whole.

We can’t make AR-15s or “assault rifles” illegal. There’s already around 4 million in circulation or more. What are we going to do, confiscate them all? Never gonna happen, just like deporting millions of undocumented immigrants is never gonna happen. Both sides need to move away from lazy, impractical utopian solutions to our problems.

These ideas are super scary. I agree with you that Trump would try to implement most of them. But he will fail in his attempts. Still even to try will cause all sorts of suffering and misery to this country, including to you and yours. So let’s hope he doesn’t get elected.

According to your second paragraph sure. I have hired undocumented immigrants. I have made friends with some. I have personally helped one seek legal protection. I have contributed money to the ACLU to fight for their rights and will continue to do so. Do your worst, buddy.

It’s actually a fair question. First off let’s be clear: if Trump wins the election I will wish him well, congratulate his supporters and hope for the best. As before he will be my President and I don’t take that lightly. I want him to succeed in the goal of increasing American safety and prosperity, and if he can accomplish that I will cheer him and be content. I will only oppose Trump if he does bad things. Based on his history I expect him to do so. 1. I believe Trump will weaponize the Department of Justice to go after his political enemies. That is not being done now, has never been done before (though both Nixon and Trump tried). I expect this time Trump will succeed. 2. Trump will attempt to forcibly deport millions of undocumented Americans. This attempt will fail but even the attempt will create untold misery and a great stain on this nations history as well as being an economic disaster. 3. Trump’s tariffs will bring this economy to a screeching halt. 4. Trump will cut off aid to Ukraine, leading to a quick Russian victory and almost guaranteeing a future war in Central Europe which we will be unable to stay out of, 5, Trump’s Project 2025 will strip away consumer protections and generally be a disaster, especially to FEMA and the CDC. The next emergency we face, whatever it is, we will be totally unprepared for. 6. Finally Trump would like to dismantle our Constitution and be a dictator- not just on day one but for the rest of his life. He will not succeed at this but the attempt will be highly damaging and painful . We will survive another Trump term. It won’t be the end of the USA. But it will be highly unpleasant, Id prefer to avoid it.

Interesting that you bring up execution. Nobody has called for Alex Jones to be executed, but Alex Jones has called for Dr. Fauci to be executed and says he would happily pull the lever himself. Jones is a disgusting piece of filth.
