Blame conservatives. I’m deadly serious. There are two main reasons for the long delays in our judicial system. The first is there are too many crimes out there. Liberals push for reform, and conservatives block them at every turn. Conservatives yell and scream about “Soros backed DAs who are soft on crime” and yet these are the people trying to reform the system. Conservatives prevent them from doing it. The second reason is mandatory minimum sentencing. This prevents plea bargain deals, which forces way too many court trials because defendants have nothing to lose. Liberals want to do away with this idiocy but once again conservatives block it every time. So if you don’t like the delays you know whom to blame.

First off I think you should differentiate between hormone treatments and surgery. Your use of the word “mutilation” pejorative at best, might theoretically apply to surgery but in no way applies to hormone treatment which is the vast majority of gender affirming treatment. Second, this is an issue that should be left up to these kids, their parents and doctors. Government should stay out of it.

Biden’s decision to maintain Trump’s tariffs (and in some cases even increase them) has been the worst aspect of his Presidency by far, and nothing else even comes close. However Trump’s new plans will be even worse. Inflation is not a tax. Taxes are deliberate.

Not quite. Biden often lies about himself, that’s true. But while Trump does this as well, Trump also tells lies about other people and larger issues, which are quite dangerous: 1. Obama faked his birth certificate. 2. Bad countries in Latin America are deliberately opening their prisons and sending us the criminals. 3. Large groups of Muslims in New York and New Jersey celebrated and cheered the Twin Towers going down. 4. The 2020 election was fixed. 5: The FBI staged the January 6 riot. Etc etc. The list of Trump lies is endless.

Lol no such thing. People are individuals. There are many black people who are just as great as undocumented immigrants. But I truly believe that as a whole, undocumented immigrants, and immigrants in general (unlike many people here I don’t differentiate) are truly remarkable people.

What did I refuse to acknowledge? When did I ever discuss the plea agreement? If I posted anything it was that it seemed pretty dumb to me. I’m just laughing at Johnson’s insistence that of course the Justice Department is weaponized because “each case is different.”

Based on some of your previous posts I suspect YOUR answer is the racial makeup of the community. And I reject that answer. I have already stated that I agree with conservatives that the lack of two parent households for many African-Americans contributes to this issue. So does the legacy of slavery and Jim Crow. And with a nod to my friend @RLLD I will concede the possibility that certain well meaning liberal ideas and programs have probably contributed to this issue as well. This is a complicated subject. But I still believe that society has to work to help solve this problem and that government has to play a role.

All I personally wrote about that chant is that I didn’t believe that most of those who used it, particularly the college students, understood the full meaning of the chant. And I also pointed out that right wing Israelis like Netanyahu have used similar terms. But I don’t like that chant and would never support its use.
