Yes I’ve followed it pretty closely. Most objective observers believe the judge is doing a very good and fair job. Only Trump sycophants feel otherwise.

It’s Trump that should bother you. Not his advisors. He’s the problem.

It’s got to be really hard on this judge. Constantly demeaned and attacked as corrupt and incompetent. Torn apart by Fox News and other right wing pundits on a daily basis. And all the time he’s trying his best to be fair and impartial. And I haven’t even mentioned the death threats. It’s really disgusting.

I would define myself as a social liberal, and a traditional economic conservative. I believe in free trade and open immigration. So did President Reagan. The Republican Party has moved away from me, and him.

You know I think (actually I know) that you are 100% wrong on this and most other political subjects. But I try not to personally insult you and I don’t understand why you always feel the need to do so. Does it really make you feel better to lash out like this? I don’t get it.

Just to correct you: I’m not a lifelong Democrat. I’ve actually been both a Republican and a libertarian much longer than a Democrat. My first, and possibly proudest vote ever was for Ronald Reagan. I have visited the Reagan Library 4 times and it is one of my favorite places to go. He was my favorite President and the best since Truman.

Jon Mx can be trusted here to post the exact opposite of the truth and what is likely to happen. When Jon says there is no case here that’s how I know Trump is guilty. When Jon asserts that any conviction will be thrown out on appeal, that’s how I know it won’t happen. When Jon attacks the judge as incompetent and corrupt, that’s when I’m confident that Merchan is really good. And so on

As usual you’re completely wrong about this subject. Maybe stick to the Detroit Lions and stay away from political history? You don’t have a clue about Reagan or what’s going on now.

He certainly seems to sympathize with a lot of the obnoxious conspiracy theories that comes out of the right these days.

This is, IMO, a delusional analysis. If Ronald Reagan were alive today I believe he would strongly consider voting for Joe Biden, or at the very least abstain. He would NEVER vote for Donald Trump.
