This is a good deal for the U.S. and Ukraine, providing we don’t abandon Ukraine. Obviously I oppose most of what Trump has accomplished so far and think he has been awful, much worse than last time around. But this is a solid achievement for the USA and I think it will be remembered as a lasting positive legacy for his Presidency.

Here’s what’s fascinating to me: I expected your point of view on this to be the majority opinion. My views on these issues are never in the majority. But I saw a poll last night that said that 54% of the American public want this guy returned to receive proper due process! Thats stunning to me. And extremely hopeful.

So apparently Trump called Bezos to express his displeasure and Amazon has backed down, they’re not going to do it. I guess Trump thinks that people buying stuff on Amazon simply won’t realize the reason for higher prices…if it isn’t pointed out to them, they’ll never make the connection.

I hope he doesn’t. It’s a catastrophe for the rest of us too.

I believe that as costs rise the net effect will be less cars purchased not more.

A lot of people criticized Bezos when he announced a new direction for the Washington Post editorial board a few months back, remember? They accused him of caving to Trump. But what nobody mentioned was that when he did that Bezos stated “we will stand firmly for free trade”. This has always been his position. He hates tariffs.
