The only reason someone should be deported is if they are an undocumented convicted violent felon. All other deportations should be extremely unusual no matter what one’s legal status, until Congress has full immigration reform that would include a path to citizenship for the vast majority of undocumented people in this country and a much fairer and open immigration program to this country. Once that happens we can have a discussion about deportation. Until then it needs to come to a halt.

That’s not why he’s going to win. He’s going to win because things are too expensive and it’s Trump’s fault. Pay attention Democrats.

Some of us have pointed out since the start of Trump’s second term that innocent people were going to get caught up in this deportation crap and that appears to be what has happened here. We need to stop this whole mess before it does serious harm to us as a nation. It’s OK to deport convicted violent criminals who are undocumented: DO NOT DEPORT ANYONE ELSE. Full stop.

If he’s not actually a gang member he shouldn’t be deported at all. And he should have a huge lawsuit against ICE and DHS. I would think about 100 million would suffice. And I seriously hope he gets it.

When @Strike posted this over a week ago I tried to point out that once Texas committed their terrible act the voters of California would quickly get behind what Newsom is doing. Whole truth?? I wasn’t aware of this when I last posted on this topic, but not only did she “exonerate” Trump, she also “exonerated” Epstein and herself. She said she never saw Epstein do anything improperly or against anyone’s will, and that she wasn’t involved in procuring anyone, and that there was never any sex with minors, only massages. So really there is nothing here at all.

Here’s the tell- she also said “I don’t think they were close friends or I certainly…don’t recall ever seeing him (Trump) in his (Epstein’s) house for instance.” Not only is there plenty of video of Trump at Epstein’s house, and a photo of Trump and Epstein AND MAXWELL as Epstein’s house, there is also an interview of Epstein on tape saying that for about ten years he was Trump’s best friend. She appears to be lying.

No need to call me names: I didn’t know about the other stuff you’re accusing her of and frankly I don’t care. I’m not taking your word for it though. Maybe she’s corrupt and a terrible person and all of the other stuff you’re accusing her of. No matter she opposes Trump on the extremely important issue (for me) of Sanctuary Cities. I seriously see this as a defining issue of our times and what it means to be an American. I’m not trolling, not joking around here. The fact that she comes from Boston makes it sweeter because Boston’s abolitionists played such a large role defying the federal government during the slavery years and I find tremendous parallels. I know you disagree. I think that, despite your views on this issue, you’re a pretty good dude. I just think you’re misguided here. Best wishes.

They were never illegal to begin with. They committed a crime, a small one, by coming here without papers. So they need to suffer a small punishment and be done with it. But a person can’t be illegal. I know people don’t take me seriously when I write this but too focking bad. Calling groups of people illegal or illegal immigrants is a deliberate means of dehumanizing them. It’s wrong, we should treat it like using the N word.

Just to clarify: does Putin need to do anything at all or should Zelenskyy simply surrender?
