Trump's NY Election Interference Trial - Trump is found guilty on all 34 counts

I’ll criticize Trump for nearly everything but I can’t knock him for this. I’m about 20 years younger than Trump and I fall asleep everywhere. -

Come on now. Your first sentence is a total exaggeration and smoke grenade, and then you accuse me of it?? Look in the mirror -

I know exactly what it means. What greater priority is there than preserving our free republic? Trump means to destroy it, Biden means to preserve it. Shouldn’t that be #1 for everyone? Or is it only a priority for insufferable asses like me? -

I don’t have the answers here for you. But it sure seems to me that you’re basically digging for details that will somehow refute the narrative that there is systemic racism among police who encounter black people on a regular basis. I can’t help you with that. i related that story as honestly as i can remember it. At first i wrote that it happened a few years ago but the more I thought about it, it was actually 20 years ago. Seems like yesterday. For that inaccuracy I was attacked as a liar. Another guy accused me of fabricating the whole thing. Oh well. Social scientists have a name for this: the will not to believe. -

Well no. If they threaten white fascist types (like the proud boys or Kyle Rittenhouse, somebody like that) I suppose they could still be in trouble. But black protestors? Student protestors? Anyone who looks Arab? Any Latino who can’t pull out citizenship papers quickly enough? Under a new Trump term it will be open season. -

Lol I’m about twice as smart as anyone here arguing with me. I listen to Trump. He doesn’t want to give “qualified” immunity whatever that means; he wants to give immunity period. He wants cops to rough people up. Yes he would pardon Chauvin if he could and any other bad cop. That is because Trump wants an authoritarian dictatorship, and many of his followers want one to. Do you know why you regard me as an insufferable ass? Because I’m telling you truths you don’t want to hear. You would rather stick your head in the sand and deny reality. Thats OK. My hope is that I never have to prove to you how right I was because hopefully Trump will get his butt kicked in November and then you guys can go back to whining about how terrible the liberals in charge are. And sometimes you’ll be right about that because sometimes they ARE terrible. Sometimes we need to have a decent, thoughtful conservative in charge to reverse track. Maybe you guys can come up with one next time around. -

Biden cannot pardon Trump for a non-federal crime committed in New York. -

As usual you completely misrepresent what I wrote. I never wrote every cop, I wrote that it’s true as a general rule, meaning it’s a pattern, meaning that the racism is SYSTEMIC. That’s the part you won’t accept. But that’s OK. I remain an optimist. One of the great things about society is that we move forward. This is where I disagree with leftists: I think we’re getting better as a society on this issue just as we are on most every issue. But electing a President who pledges to give police immunity for bad behavior would be moving backwards. -

You’re not black, right? If you’re not then forgive me but your experiences with police are totally irrelevant (as our mine.) The whole point is that they don’t treat everyone the same. -
Lol dude if you judge by my musical taste I am homo for sure. Love Beyonce, ABBA, Broadway musicals.

No. When you get to be my age a few years ago and 20 years ago is not that far apart. It was around 2004, seems like yesterday. Weak of you to call me a liar but that’s the sort of thing you do. -
She does a gospel song on her new album. It’s actually my favorite song on the album:

Look it wasn’t my intention to spread some kind of “narrative”. I related what happened to a friend of mine. To be fair this incident occurred over 20 years ago so I will concede the possibility that things have changed in Los Angeles. I live in Orange County and I am not there as often as I used to be. But I do know that among black friends of mine the perception is still there that the police cannot be trusted. I find that so sad. I’ve never once had to fear police. I have some close friends who are police and I’m grateful to them. I generally “back the Blue” and I have donated my time and money to local police charity functions. But I‘m not black or Latino and I believe my perspective would be different if I were, justifiably so. -

Well that’s one way of dismissing it. Examples of me lying? -
I don’t have the details yet but this strikes me as a BS lawsuit. Does anyone remember the film The People Vs Larry Flynt? If Hustler Magazine was able to repeat false rumours about Jerry Falwell, why can’t Fox do the same about Hunter Biden? Isn’t it the same principle? On the other hand, Carol Burnett was successful years ago in her suit against The National Enquirer. I admit I really don’t understand libel laws very well. One thing I know for sure: Hunter’s new attorney. Mark Gallegos, is super slimy.

Anecdotes don’t matter in terms of statistics. But he asked me to define unfair treatment at the hands of police so I offered an example that I witnessed. -

"Filmmaker" who filmed Ashli Babbitt's murder gets 6 years
The Real timschochet replied to BudBro's topic in The Geek Club
Trump just issued a four word message in response to the student protests: “STOP THE PROTESTS NOW!” He wants the police to come in and use whatever force they think they need to, even though most of the protests are peaceful. Screw the students’ rights. The only rights that matter are those of middle aged angry white guys, or young white supramecist fascists like Kyle Rittenhouse. They’re allowed to do whatever they want. Minorities and liberal students, not so much. -

Can you imagine what the result would have been if January 6 had been a black riot? Say on behalf of President Obama? If Black protestors had stormed the Capitol they wouldn’t be in prison and they wouldn’t be sending cases to the Supreme Court. They’d all be dead. -

But see- that law only applies to minorities: black activists, students protesting for Palestinians, etc. it was never meant to apply to white right wingers. -

Also with regard to police arresting minorities and dragging them away: keep in mind that we have a major Presidential candidate who is publicly calling for the immediate arrest and deportation of millions of undocumented immigrants, and at the same time wants to give police full immunity from their actions. Try to consider what the results of these two proposals will be should they ever come to pass. -

At first they didn’t say anything. They grabbed him and handcuffed him in front of his kids and put him in a police car. He didn’t struggle though he did keep asking “what’s going on?” His wife was screaming. Later on I learned they held him for several hours before releasing him. This treatment, in parts of Los Angeles, is not unusual.
