I am opposed to all of the examples you listed. They’re really not relevant to this discussion, however.

Not even sure where to start. Driving in a wealthy neighborhood? Followed by security in department stores? Dragged away by police because there was a report of a robbery in the area? (This last one I personally witnessed a few years back- a black friend of mine invited me to a picnic with his family at Echo Park in Los Angeles and a couple cops came up and grabbed him and handcuffed him because he matched the description of an armed robber- the description was “black man”.) These are abuses that black people have to deal with on a daily basis.

Not quite. It’s part of a bigger pattern in which innocent black people who have committed no crime are also stopped and harassed by police in percentages much larger than the general population.

Obviously because women don’t commit crimes in the same numbers men do. Your point seems to be that these men are committing crimes. I’ve never argued otherwise.

According to you if the police behave badly in this situation, the protestors instigated it. When the police behave badly against young black men, the young black men instigated it. You seem incapable of blaming the police in any given situation. Unless, perhaps, the death of Ashli Babbitt?

When the ACLU condemns how the police are acting, that should be a sign to everyone that the police are acting badly. The ACLU almost never gets this stuff wrong (or nearly anything IMO).

IF they break the laws, disperse them, arrest them. Thats fine. Anybody who is violent, put them away, got no problem with that. If they’re yelling hateful rhetoric disperse them but don’t arrest unless they physically resist. But from everything I’m reading, a lot of the times the police are actually instigating the violence- again, similar to the Vietnam War protests.

Nope. Those were the Democrats. In those days Democrats were conservative and Republicans were liberal. Didn’t start changing until FDR and not fully until the 60s. Liberals fight for social change. Conservatives try to hold on to the way things are. In the case of slavery and Jim Crow, the ones fighting against it have always been liberal.

Of course the answer is no. We’ve had 400 years of slavery and racism. You eliminate that overnight and things don’t change. But there would be improvement and I disagree that it would be nominal.

I think perhaps the reason there are no protests (at least so far) is that blacks are exhausted. What do these protests ever get them? Nothing ever changes.

So let me see if I understand correctly: I make a cogent argument (whether or not you agree with me I’ve been pretty clear), the response by @Brahma Bulls is “go fock yourself” and you blame me and leftists for regarding him as unworthy of discussion. Is that right?

I think that black males are restrained for too long. I think when somebody says he can’t breathe there should be a quicker response and there often is not for young black men. This was supposed to be addressed by the George Floyd Act which conservatives killed, as I pointed out in the OP. It’s an issue of vital concern so no I don’t think I posted too quickly.
