No I don’t. I don’t hate liberals or conservatives. Something wrong with anyone who does IMO.

I’ve never been. On my bucket list. But any history of America should have a HUGE section on slavery, both the evil of its existence and the greatness of the fight against it. I don’t need to go there to know this. I don’t need to go there to know how stupid Trump’s comments are.

We need to cut off all aid to Israel. I don’t believe that Israel is an evil nation but they are behaving quite badly.

Because he thinks, wrongly, that too much time is spent talking about the bad parts of our history. He’s a moron.

I get that many conservatives are bothered by leftists who want to focus primarily on the bad parts of our history without giving enough emphasis to American greatness. But the problem is their solutions often be to simply block out the bad parts and pretend they don’t exist- that’s basically what Prager U does. A thoughtful museum or history book explores the good and the bad. Recently I visited the World War II Museum in New Orleans. It showed the greatness of American victories at Iwo Jima and Normandy, how we liberated the world from the yoke of tyranny. We really did that and it might have been our greatest moment. It also showed the internment of Japanese Americans and the deadly results of the nuclear bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. We really did that too. I came away very proud of my country but also aware of our faults. That’s what I want our history to teach us.

OK I am not ever in the habit of defending Donald Trump but this is being misrepresented. He did not suggest slavery was good. He is saying that the museum focuses too much on bad aspects of American history, like slavery, and should concentrate more on the positive aspects. It’s a lazy, really stupid thing to say. And it ignores the fact that the existence of slavery resulted in some of the greatest people and moments in our history, like Frederick Douglass, Harriet Tubman, Lincoln signing the Emancipation Proclamation, etc. But suggesting that Trump somehow thinks slavery was good is also lazy.

No not your country of birth. If you’re for what ICE is doing, then you don’t belong here anymore. There’s plenty of other countries that will be more conducive to you. Here are a few examples: Russia North Korea China But literally anywhere else will do. Please take @Maximum Overkill with you. Thanks.

I have no idea why anyone would find it disgusting. When my grandparents came here the Holocaust was over. They were escaping Communism and they came here for a better life. That is why most people come here. I’m sympathetic to such people and I’ve never quite understood why others wouldn’t be.

I really don’t care whether you’re busting balls or not. I get that you and others around here troll a lot of the time, but I don’t have the patience to figure out which is which. The question of whether Strike is an a$$hole or simply a moron is not one which I spend a lot of time on. If forced to give an answer I would probably go with “both”. My grandparents and my dad survived. They escaped from Germany to Romania and lived there as refugees until 1944. Then they escaped into the forest outside Bucharest, They lived hiding in the forest for over a year. When they came out my grandfather weighed 72 pounds. But my both my grandparents lost their entire families, over 20 relatives I think. My dad was 6 years old when he came out of the forest. My grandparents wandered to Vienna but like Berlin it was occupied by the four powers and my grandparents were in the Communist zone. My grandparents snuck across to the American zone- they would have been shot by the Russians had they been caught- they were, quite literally, undocumented immigrants. They came to this country with no papers. This fact probably plays a role in my deep feelings about this subject.

Well there’s your answer. He should never have been given a license because he wasn’t qualified to have one. But not because he was undocumented. Undocumented should have nothing to do with it.

Of course. In the end no matter how you slice it, liberals want more people to vote, conservatives want less. Which side is for democracy?
