What I wrote wasn’t false. Trump would never have testified no matter what. A better argument is Steve Bannon. I argued at the time that the Jan 6 committee made a mistake by not allowing Bannon to testify publicly. Just as the Republicans are making a mistake now.

I’ve really enjoyed this discussion. There’s been good, thoughtful posts by @League Champion, @BuckSwope and @jerryskids. I don’t agree with everything but it’s really nice for once to read an intelligent debate without the name calling and insults that are so prevalent here.

Pretty sure this must mean Mark Meadows will be testifying against Trump. Probably in exchange for immunity. I have been honestly troubled all along by this particular prosecution because I thought it would be very difficult to prove that Trump encouraged violence: especially given the fact that he used the phrase “peaceful protest” in his speech before the attack. But if the prosecution can prove that Trump wanted a violent result, then Trump will likely be convicted and sent to prison.

I question your understanding of what is meant by a sanctuary city. All it means is that the police in that city don’t report migrants to federal authorities. That’s it. There is no welcome sign, no monies or housing given to these people (though there should be). It’s merely a recognition that our city police don’t behave like Gestapo.

We’re supposed to be a nation of immigrants. Who cares where they’re from? Unless you’re a racist.

Today he warned, correctly, that if Russia wins in Ukraine it poses a greater threat to NATO, and if NATO is attacked, we would be forced to go to war. What is incorrect about that warning?
