lol why do you think this is a safe space? Very few people who post in this thread agree with me about anything. I’ve probably received more insults within this thread than I have before I started it. What exactly is safe about it?

It’s not. But you have continually used the supposed example of the government suppressing social media as your justification for comparing our government to Nazi Germany and conservatives to Jews. Hopefully you will come to realize what a grotesque and offensive comparison this is.

Hey @Jon_mx your theory that the federal government tried to interfere with social media is being met with major skepticism by the Supreme Court- Kavanaugh and Barrett in particular. I don’t think the challenge is going anywhere.

First off the people we will be helping are refugees, not undocumented immigrants. And they’re families. They’re not criminals. Most undocumented immigrants aren’t either for that matter. Second, I have a few friends. You could be my friend. I’m a friendly guy.

The update is that what I wrote is true and Trump continues to call for violence on a daily basis. Also your casual hateful rhetoric about refugees has inspired me so I am grateful to you. I have spent the weekend organizing friends of mine to work to help Haitian refugees under the Welcome program. We are meeting soon to sponsor a family. You should know that you, in a way, helped to bring this about.

Lots of liberals panicking about the polls. They need to stop. Maybe the polls are right, maybe they’re not. I continue to believe that Joe Biden will pull out a close but decisive electoral victory. But if I’m wrong and people are dumb enough to elect Trump again, then so be it. We’ll survive (Ukraine will not.)

The “bloodbath” comment, like so many other of Trump’s comments, was designed to inflame the media while giving Trump’s defenders just enough to argue the context. Trump does this constantly and he’s very good at it. But I don’t need to waste time debating over one specific example of Trump warning about or calling for violence if something doesn’t go his way because there have been so many.

I’ve been discussing this with my family and we’re going to get seriously involved. It means more than just contributing money; it means helping to find housing, greeting people at the airport, helping to enroll children in school, etc. Im doing this for two reasons: I’m sick and tired of arguing this issue on the internet. All you guys want to do is complain about these folks; I’m sick of your bigotry. I need to do something. Second is I feel I owe it to my grandparents. They risked their lives trying to come here, fleeing first Nazi Getmany and then the Soviet Union. They faced the same bigotry, the same folks like @jonnyutahback then who wanted to stop them from coming. Good samaritans helped them back then, now it’s up to the rest of us to do my part. Hopefully somebody reading this will decide enough is enough. Even if you can’t afford money or time, the least you can do is not vote for a hateful man like Trump who wants to keep everybody out.

Do you realize that you and the other Trump defenders spend literally half of your time trying to explain away his statements?
