I like that Biden is finally going after Trump. Don’t know what he waiting for. I don’t love Biden but he’s the only hope to save our democratic republic at this point- if Trump wins it’s gone. So it’s Biden all the way.

Agree with everything except the last sentence. There may be a few loner nuts like the guy that attacked Paul Pelosi, but I doubt we’ll see anything like 1/6 again. Too many people got arrested. Trump was hoping for a violent reaction when he’s been indicted, particularly in Georgia or Florida where he knows he has a lot of support. But nothing happened. Because his supporters these days are not willing to break the law for him.

We need to have a new federal law and it should be absolute: anyone who protests in front of a private home should be arrested. Period. I don’t care if it’s Joe Biden or Brett Kavanaugh or whoever. Protesting at a private home should be completely illegal.

And you sound like a traditional Communist. 3 out the 4 entities you named: big bank, big Pharma, big tech, are all products of our free capitalist system. They are the reason for our prosperity, for your good health, for most of the things you enjoy. Without them we would be Botswana. Is that really what you want? Sure reasonable people on both sides of the American political spectrum SHOULD agree on some pretty basic things: national security, protecting the Constitution, etc. That hardly makes them a “uniparty”. Only radicals and extremists on either side would think so.

There was a lot of vacancy. That I noticed but I always notice that. I don’t know what to tell you. I’m being honest. Berkeley is littered with homeless last I checked. But not the places in San Francisco I was at. The biggest problem facing San Francisco, IMO, is not the homeless or the crime or illegal immigrants or the liberal policies that everybody complains about- it’s office space. There are millions of square feet of beautiful high rent office space in the downtown area. It’s empty. It’s going to stay empty. During Covid people realized they could work at home. They’re not coming back. All of the other problems are solvable one way or another. This one though…I don’t know. It’s bad and going to get worse.

The streak continues. I have yet to read a funny Babylon Bee article. My theory is that modern day conservatives just do not get satirical humor at all. It’s beyond them which is why their attempts are so terrible.

Well I wasn’t at the Moscone center. As I wrote I was at Union Square, North Beach, Chinatown, Pier 39. All the tourist stuff. So there’s no reason that what you saw and what I saw can’t both be true.

I sense this is true. As I wrote earlier I didn’t see any of it. Some people around here want to call me a liar, that’s on them. They have a vision of San Francisco that they are getting from conservative media that has very little bearing to reality- which is the problem with conservative media in general. It creates an Earth-2, as Nicolle Wallace puts it.

The law would have to be changed so it’s doubtful. I read somewhere that the Supreme Court would have to take a stand.

I don’t live there. But I was a huge fan of her opponent, Rick Caruso. In my industry (commercial real estate) there’s nobody better. I really wanted him to win that election.

No we already knew what he’s saying is true. The part he doesn’t get is that after Trump loses in 2024, Bannon’s “movement” will be crushed into the dustbin of American history, like all the other hate movements that have come and gone.
