I don’t know who this guy is and I don’t care. But America, particularly conservatives, are way too obsessed with gays and trannies and their effect on children. Here’s the thing: there is none. Your son or daughter can not be influenced to become gay or have a sex change. If that happens it’s because your son or daughter always wanted to be gay or have a sex change. And if that happens, accept it and be happy for them or you will make their lives miserable. And stop worrying about influences.

The one thing that MAGA types and extreme leftists have in common is they’re constantly willing to piss on the USA. The leftists say we’re all a bunch of imperialist, white power, minority hating, women enslaving, gun toting, climate killing, gay bashing evil capitalists. The MAGA types say this country has been taken over by a horde of socialist, transsexual illegal aliens who want to make your daughter have an abortion, make your son have a sex change, and make both of them feel guilty for white privilege. You listen to either group and this country totally sucks, things couldn’t be worse. And yet people keep risking their lives to come here. We’re practically the only country on Earth that discusses building walls, not to keep people in, but to keep them out. Why is that?

Yes they piss on it all the time. They know nothing about what makes this country great. MAGA types are the most unpatriotic Americans there are. I don’t even regard most of them as truly American because America is at heart an idea. They don’t believe in our democratic republic, they love them some authoritarianism, they want to keep immigrants out- all of that is anti-American. As far as I’m concerned the MAGA folks have no right to be here. I’d be good with deporting them all.

So I’ve made no bones about the fact that, though I dislike Joe Biden, I think he’s done a pretty good job as President. And if he is on the ballot next year I will happily vote for him again, especially if the opponent is, as appears will be, Donald Trump. But… Unlike some here, I believe in polls. Polls don’t lie. And every poll I’ve been reading lately tell me the same damn things: 1. Biden’s ratings remain dismally low. We’ve been told that this will change when people see the results of the infrastructure bill or the Reduce Inflation Act. We’ve been told this will change when folks start to feel better about the economy. But guess what? It’s not happening. And there’s no reason to believe it will happen a year from now. Public attitudes about Joe Biden seem to be entrenched. 2. The public thinks he’s too old. Personally I don’t see anything wrong with Joe’s faculties, but the majority of Americans disagree. And this is not going to get any better. This issue is going to stick around all the way to the election. And there’s no good way to fight it. 3. It was announced today that Hunter is going to be indicted next month. I still don’t think Joe had anything to do with this but at best it’s an unnecessary distraction. At worst it could be real trouble. Like Hillary’s emails, it’s a headache that we (those who want to see Democrats do well) don’t need. The bottom line is this: Trump could win. He could actually win. Since I do not want to see Trump win, I reluctantly have reached the conclusion that Joe Biden should announce that he is not seeking re-election. Now. Before it’s too late.

Anyone other than Donald Trump would be jailed right now for his contempt of court this morning.

Wow. Hell Toupee is just having fun, it’s harmless trolling and I’m good with it. He’s fine. Blue Horseshoe/Gekko- there’s something seriously wrong with that dude. His obsession with me is disturbing enough but some of his other posts are even worse. For the record: 1. I used to think Biden was a good guy. I’ve learned more about him in the last few years and I no longer think so. I changed my mind. 2. Over the years I’ve offered a lot of meandering thoughts about a lot of issues. Some of them serious, others in jest. I’ve apologized for a few in retrospect. I never thought anyone would be so obsessed with me as to spend any time parsing through them. I guess you never know.

Yeah not really. The dude is obsessed and always spends a lot of time trying to analyze me. But it’s really not that difficult. Let’s make it simple: I don’t like Biden as a person, but I think he’s been, overall, an excellent President, But the polls show the public doesn’t agree with me and that’s why I want him not to run again. If he does run again I still think he will win, but it will be a very tight race and he could lose. And I don’t want a tough race. I don’t want Donald Trump to have a real chance at winning. See? There are no contradictions and it’s really not that complicated.

Have your fun. I’m not playing. Whatever the reason, Biden doesn’t wow them. Somebody else might. And don’t get me wrong- if you press me I will tell you that in the end Biden will beat Trump anyhow. Most of these Dems won’t stay home because they fear Trump too much. Even if it doesn’t show right now. But why make things tougher than they have to be?

It’s not false equivalency. One side (the Palestinians) have been way worse and far more intractable than the other. But it’s also not the black and white picture you’re portraying. Israel has done many wrong things in this story.

I want to stop right here because although the rest of your post is pretty accurate, this is not. While the Labor Party in Israel has always been realistic about this, the Likud coalition, which has ruled Israel for over 20 years now, is not. Just as the supporters of Hamas use the code words “from the river to the sea” which could mean the eradication of all Jews from Palestine, the conservative settlement movement in Israel uses the phrase “Judea and Samaria” which could mean the eradication of all Palestinians from Palestine. Both extremes claim 100% of the land, rely on divine authority, and reject the two state solution.

Harris would have a much better chance of beating Trump because she will get young minority voters out for her. Otherwise I’m afraid they will sit at home.

It’s been nearly 2 months since I started this thread. If anything the situation has gotten worse. Somebody needs to tell Joe: “Hey it’s totally unfair but the public doesn’t like you, they blame you for everything and if you insist on running there’s a good chance Trump can win again. You are not the only one who can beat him. You need to step aside for the good of the country.” Maybe Jill will do it. Somebody needs to. Time is running out….
