I find the rhetoric scary: the utter rage that the MAGA folks feel about this issue (illegal immigration). I’ve seen it here too, when they blame people like me and you for rape and murder and wish the same on our families. It’s become a hatred that can’t be reasoned with. The guy from Judicial Watch that is urging Trump to suspend habeus corpus probably represents a lot of people. They don’t care about liberties at this point. Seriously this is how dictatorships come to be.

It’s also important to note that what Obama did, reprehensible as it was, was within the law. Trump is breaking the law.

I wasn’t a fan of Obama’s policies on undocumented inmigration. Or Biden’s. Or any President since Ronald Reagan. Those who have read me for a while know I am generally in favor of open immigration and amnesty for most people already here. That being said. No other President has been quite as awful as Trump on this issue. It’s not close.

The ACLU was right then and right now. They usually are. You should support them with money as many of us do, they are fighting for your rights.

Of course, the egg situation is minor compared to the price increases we will see on nearly everything starting this summer thanks to the tariffs.

Are you guys really this dumb? She’s not talking about eggs for her family, she’s talking about the Egg Roll which is a large event. They have a budget for it and this year the eggs exceed it. How can you guys be this dense? Actually you voted for Trump right? Never mind.

OK then. But I think you’re being used and manipulated. I think the politicians discussing this issue (the ones that claim to agree with you) don’t really give a crap about it. They’re using it because they know it pisses you off and that helps them maintain their power base.

Just to clarify (because I have so much trouble believing it)- is this issue (trans) SO important to you that you prioritize it over the economy, energy, foreign affairs, war, all other issues?

@jerryskids I appreciate that ultimately, though we might differ on details, you agree that this guy should be returned. But the question is, if the Trump Administration refuses to do anything about this (and at least so far that is the case) what should the SC do in your opinion?

Yeah. Trying a little too hard

It’s disputed whether or not he’s a gang member. Like you I think he probably is but it’s not proven, and there’s at least plausible evidence to think otherwise. I don’t know what the rules should be for political asylum. It’s worth having a reasonable discussion about. I’m not particularly sympathetic to this particular guy’s case based on what has been reported. But he deserves to make his case. I’m much more sympathetic to the plight of Afghan refugees who assisted our military, in part because I’m personally involved. And I am extremely angry at the Trump administration for shutting down their passage here. In my mind it’s the most awful thing they have done and I’ve yet to hear any kind of defense for it.

I have never reported anyone for posting about my wife. Only for posting personal information. @Horseman is somebody who spends a lot of time trashing other people and their families. Much like yourself. I think he can take it.

Except that our courts ordered his return and we have no legal evidence that he is any of the things you named.

Yeah I’m beginning to be of the opinion that this Abrego character is not such a good guy. At the very least he is not the saint that some on the left are trying to paint him to be. I don’t know for sure; like you I’m only going on what is reported. But it doesn’t matter. I want him returned because he didn’t receive due process. It’s pretty simple.

In this instance the difference between myself and @avoiding injuries is not one of opinion.
