White pride is racism. Black pride is not. Thats a clear double standard, isn’t it? Sometimes double standards exist. Sometimes contradictions occur. In this case that’s what you get when American blacks were forced to endure hundreds of years of slavery and Jim Crow. They get to enjoy identity and pride. White people do not. But white privilege tends to make up for that.

You confuse pride of identity for racism. It’s a common trait among conservatives. Here’s a good tip when it comes to issues about race: if the vast majority of black people disagree with you, then you’re on the wrong side.

But I do disagree with the take that stuff like this divides us further. That’s nonsense. Actual racism, when it occurs, divides us further. School shootings divide us. Abortion divides us. Migrants, and what to do about them, divide us. The widening gap between the poor and wealthy divides us. Crime divides us. Who sings what song and when doesn’t mean a hill of beans.

I don’t really care one way or another. This is one of those issues that riles people up (and both sides) but doesn’t really affect real lives in any important way.

Putting aside her chances of success (which are nil), Haley represents the “normal” Republicans, such that are left, who are trying to pretend that the party hasn’t changed and that they can support Trump for President without spitting in the face of all the values they have long claimed to believe in. But they can’t. If they want to preserve the United States and all that this great country stands for, they’re going to have to support Biden no matter how much they detest him.

Trump last night asked by Sean Hannity to give New Hampshire voters a closing message. He responded by begging the Supreme Court to uphold his immunity claim “if you remove immunity Presidents won’t be able to do anything!” Man is he terrified. This whole campaign is about one thing: keeping his ass out of jail.

No. I don’t think anyone is pleased with the current situation: we just disagree on what to do about it.

Some points on this: 1. All of the supposed evidence of Biden’s cognitive decline is anecdotal. It’s contradicted by other anecdotal evidence in which he appears sharp and focused. 2. To the best of my knowledge, nearly 100% of the folks pushing this are very opposed to Biden as President and would never vote for him regardless of how sharp he is. That has to add a good deal of skepticism to the veracity of these claims: 3. He’s an old man. No getting around that. Trump says a lot of crazy stuff but does at times appear to have more energy. Will these factors help Trump defeat Biden? I doubt it but I guess we’ll see.
