Our economy is not close to collapsing. Hoping for it to do so is sick and disgusting. Honesty has nothing to do with it (though I truly doubt Donald Trump even knows the meaning of the word.)

You think it’s “the truth” to make fun of John McCain not being able to lift his arms due to the torture he suffered as a POW? Or is it “the truth” to make fun of Joe Biden’s stuttering, a life long affliction which many people struggle to conquer? Im not in love with either guy but in this particular debate Musk is the one who looks like a fool. Cuban is only representing common sense.

But there’s a big difference. All we are doing is insisting that people be referred to by the labels that they choose THEMSELVES- whereas you are insisting on being free to label other people in ways they don’t necessarily want.

The bigger question is why do conservatives insist on categorizing everyone in terms of a sexual nature? Who cares what they call themselves?

Musk’s comment is stupid, as Cuban correctly pointed out. Conservatives keep insisting that there is an “either-or” between diversity and ability but the reality is that this doesn’t exist. Diversity is not chosen at the expense of ability but as an enhancement to ability.

Biden says a lot of dumb stuff. Trump says a lot of cruel stuff.

It is rare and if you don’t want to cover it I’m good with that. California is one of the world’s largest economies and we’re not going to collapse. But if we did I can guarantee you it would not be glorious for any part of America. Our economy pays for most of the rest of you.

It’s impossible to truly predict how any QB will perform in the NFL. But personally I regard Caleb as the best prospect since Andrew Luck. He’s my number one pick regardless of who my team already has behind center,

I won’t speak for him or anyone else, but personally yes I think it’s a very good thing that undocumented immigrants in California will receive health insurance. As I’ve stated before it will save us much money and makes a lot of sense from a public health perspective. The issue of gender affirming surgery is secondary. It’s such a rare thing that it’s irrelevant, IMO, to the greater discussion.

Hungary, India and Turkey have showed us that a sizable segment of the voting public anywhere are willing to give up political freedom in exchange for nationalist authoritarian dictators if they believe, wrongly, that if will give them economic stability. That’s not surprising in countries like I listed where democracy is relatively a new thing. But it’s shocking that Republicans are apparently willing to do the same here.

Also in regard to black voting: one of the most insidious aspects of Trump’s claim of election fraud is that he constantly focused on black communities, such as the cities of Philadelphia, Detroit and Atlanta. The actual numbers show that Trump gained votes in each of these areas, particularly with black voters, as compared to 2016. Where Trump lost ground was in the mostly white suburbs outside of these communities, especially with women. But complaining about the suburbs doesn’t strike a chord with white conservatives fearful of the growing power of minorities, which is why Trump concentrated on complaining about black areas. He was deliberately playing into racism and unfortunately the majority of Republicans have fallen for his bullcrap.

Wrong. Black population in 2010 census: 38.9 million. Black population in 2020 census: 41.1 million. Black turnout in 2008: 62%, highest ever. Black turnout in 2020: 58%. So by percentage actually less blacks came out to vote in 2020 than in 2008, and less blacks voted for Biden than they did for Obama either time. But there’s 2 million more of them. And there will be even more in 2024. Stuff like this is why when people like you assert that Biden must have cheated because there’s no way 81 million people voted for him, or that many blacks, etc, you simply have no clue about what really happened. It’s certainly easy to study the actual results, but I doubt you ever will.

I expect he will. He will also lose more black votes than any Republican Presidential candidate in history.

Actually I didn’t quite love him for that. She said “he’s an Arab”, and he said “no ma’am he’s a decent human being”, which implies that someone who is an Arab is NOT a decent human being. I know what his intent was and I greatly admired him for it but it still wasn’t the right thing to say. And at the same time that McCain was defending Obama, his VP nominee was accusing Obama of terrorism. In truth I firmly believe that we would not be dealing with Trump today if McCain hadn’t opened the Pandora’s Box of right wing extremism by choosing Palin. That being said, John McCain was a great American hero.

Of course. And if Biden had run in 2008-12, and Obama in 2020, then Obama would have had more votes. As the population increases, more people vote in every election. This is the part that seems to escape you.
